C32 I will Add Two Points!

The room fell into an eerie silence.

All the students were left speechless, staring at Zhang Xing with expressions of sheer astonishment, as if they were witnessing a creature from another world.

He had memorized a book half a foot thick in just one month?

Whether born to paupers or to the nobility, most kids his age would have their heads filled with thoughts of food or fun. Yet his mind brimmed with knowledge!

It was utterly unbelievable!

A wave of applause broke out across the exam hall.

Instructor Solina's face lit up with a joyful smile as she clapped and nodded in approval.

The boy had a mischievous air and a sharp wit. He truly was a genius!

Seconds ticked by.

"The applause speaks volumes. Zhang Xing, you've earned an extra point!"

Cliff clenched his teeth in silent fury.

"Now, for the second question, a historical one: Please describe the origins of magic."

Upon hearing the question, Cliff's eyes sparkled with recognition. He had known the answer since he was Zhang Xing's age.

"How could I even begin to compare myself to Zhang Xing, that lowborn?"

"Ding!"

"Once again, our class president, Cliff, is the first to respond. He's leading by example, setting a strong precedent for our classmates. I encourage everyone to be just as eager to participate!"

Cliff, basking in the instructor's commendation, allowed a bashful yet smug smile to cross his face.

Without realizing it, he began to emulate Zhang Xing, raising his index finger.

"Magic was developed by the Six Towers Association of the Heavenly Star Empire over a millennium, through continuous refinement in countless experiments."

"To be precise, in the first five hundred years, magic was an arcane discipline, mastered by only a select few."

"And those esteemed members of the Six Towers Association were among the rare practitioners of magic."

"In the following five hundred years, thanks to their relentless dedication, magic became widespread throughout the Empire, enabling us, the aristocratic youth, to learn and apply it from our textbooks."

"Since then, magic has shed its veil of mystery and has been further advanced in the hands of us nobles, right up to the present day!"

"My answer is complete!"

Cliff sat back down, shooting a glance at Zhang Xing. He had said all there was to say, eager to see what Zhang Xing could possibly add. This time, he was confident the points were his.

Instructor Solina nodded with satisfaction, and the panelist mentor also gave an approving nod.

Just then, a "ding!" rang out, and Zhang Xing stood up.

"Student Clive's explanation is incomplete, and there are two errors I'd like to address."

Errors? What errors?

Cliff looked at Zhang Xing with an incredulous expression.

"Hmph! He's just making baseless arguments. It's written right there in the textbook. How could the book be wrong?"

Instructor Solina and the panelists looked on with curiosity.

"Zhang Xing, if you incorrectly identify a mistake, we will deduct a credit from you," stated a panelist with a pallid complexion, his voice icy.

"Yes, Zhang Xing, point deduction is part of the test protocol. Please respond with caution," Solina cautioned.

"May I begin my response?" asked Zhang Xing, unperturbed.

"Proceed, Zhang Xing. But remember, you must not repeat the previous student's answer," instructed Solina.

"The first error is that the Six Towers Association is not affiliated with the Heavenly Star Empire; it is, in fact, the most formidable magic organization on the Holy Dragon Continent."

"If the Six Towers Association were to learn that our class president has mistakenly included them within the Heavenly Star Empire, I wonder if his family would face their retribution!"

Cliff broke out in a cold sweat at the thought.

"Hmph! It was merely a slip of the tongue. Let's not get hung up on such minor issues, Zhang Xing," the pale-faced panelist interjected dismissively.
