C39 Glen Fainted

Over a dozen students from the senior class sprinted toward the trash bin at the restaurant's entrance, calling out, "Young Master Glen!"

The crowd was stunned as they pulled Glen from the towering garbage receptacle.

Glen lay unconscious, his body drenched in leftover food and sour-smelling soup that trickled down his face.

"We need to find Instructor Tina to help Young Master Glen!" they exclaimed.

Without a thought of retaliation against Zhang Xing, they hoisted Glen and rushed off.

All eyes turned back to Zhang Xing, filled with profound astonishment.

Though they hadn't seen Zhang Xing's move, it was clear he was the one who had sent Glen flying.

They struggled to comprehend how Zhang Xing, a mere child, could accomplish such a feat. After all, Glen was a mage ranked tenth in combat strength at the Magic Academy.

Considering agility, speed, strength, and combat experience, Glen should never have been launched nearly twenty meters by a youngster.

Moreover, that child was a member of the Magic Academy, not the Martial Arts Institute.

They witnessed the impossible made possible, struggling to believe it, yet the evidence was undeniable.

"Who is this young student?"

"I don't know; I've never seen him before!"

"And you?"

"I'm clueless too!"

"Go ask the newcomers in the primary class; they might have an idea."

After some inquiries, the intermediate and senior class students learned the name of the mysterious youngster: Zhang Xing.

They observed as Zhang Xing polished off his meal from the rice pot.

Rising calmly as he always did, he approached the sink and meticulously cleaned his rice pot.

He then stowed it away in his designated cabinet and departed, seemingly unaffected by the recent events.

Inspired, the other children in the restaurant mimicked Zhang Xing's methodical eating habits, savoring each bite, standing up gradually, and diligently washing their rice pots.

Tina was more than the academy's pharmacist; she was also a healer.

At twenty-two, she boasted a stunning figure, with long, dark red hair cascading over her shoulders, and her delicate features composed a visage of exquisite beauty.

Tina and Solina were renowned as the most beautiful instructors at the academy. They had made numerous visits to the slums to provide free medical care to the impoverished.

Moreover, they always brought a wealth of supplies to aid the elderly, infirm, and disabled among the poor.

Their compassion extended equally to the ordinary nobles who had fallen on hard times.

Their high standing at the academy was matched only by their popularity throughout St. Roland's Castle.

When Glen was brought in, Tina didn't flinch at the distinct foul odor.

"What happened here? How did he end up like this?"

"How could a student from the advanced magic class be so reckless?"

"It looks like he's been in a fight. That palm print on his face is quite distinct. Such a small handprint—was he struck by a female classmate?"

A dozen male students stood in silence, not daring to utter a word.

Truth be told, Tina wasn't particularly interested in why these testosterone-fueled young men were brawling.

She busied herself with cleaning up the debris as she assessed Glen's injuries.

The diagnosis came quickly.

"The primary damage to Glen is from the fall."

"He was likely sent flying by that slap, then crashed down some distance away. Based on the fractures in his ribs and spine, he fell at least 20 meters."

"His head struck a wall first, which caused the unconsciousness."

"Then he fell sideways, hitting a sharp-edged object."

"His broken ribs and spine should heal with some medication. It's his head that concerns me. I can't assure a full recovery; magic relies on mental energy."

"Someone go to his house and notify his family. I'll stabilize his injuries in the meantime."

Once the students had left, Tina sighed, "The force behind that slap was tremendous. Whether Glen will be able to wield magic again remains to be seen."
