C57 The Arrogant Zhan Tian!
Solina offered a faint smile. "Let them do as they please."
"Zhang Xing always manages to cause a stir with his actions."
"Solina, you're really fortunate to have such an exceptional student," Tina remarked with a hint of envy.
"Look, Tina, your star pupil is approaching!" Solina gestured toward the group making their way from a distance.
Tina glanced over and shook her head. "Zhan Tian's arrogance knows no bounds. He lords over everyone, thinking he's untouchable as the top-ranked fighter in Skysplit Tower."
"He respects no one, not even me. I can't seem to rein him in."
"Plus, he's petty and vindictive, unable to tolerate anyone outshining him."
Solina withdrew her gaze and offered words of consolation. "All young people go through such a phase. It's not worth your concern."
"He's the son of Slit, the President of the Martial Arts Institute. His upbringing shaped his personality; it's an unfortunate inevitability."
Tina dismissed the comfort with a wave of her hand. "Enough, don't bother trying to console me."
"I'm growing more and more intolerant of his antics. He's as conceited as his father."
"He's always parading around with an entourage. Even Your Honor doesn't do that."
As they spoke, Zhan Tian had reached the outskirts of the crowd, showing no sign of pausing.
The students, previously engaged in light-hearted banter, parted ways at his arrival, a testament to his imposing presence.
Zhan Tian cut an impressive figure!
The students around him wore smiles, watching him with admiration.
Some stepped forward to exchange greetings.
Those who did felt their status soar, and their glances toward their peers turned disdainful, exuding an air of superiority.
Adorned in a black magician's robe, Zhan Tian's sleeves were marked with three gleaming silver Roland flowers.
This signified his status as a high-level magician, beyond that of a mere academy student.
Only the elite top three of Skysplit Tower were afforded such distinction.
While other students might claim the title of magician, their status was not recognized by the Empire or the Magician Guild.
To secure official recognition, they needed to graduate from the academy and then pass the Magician Guild's certification.
Each President and Vice-President of the six major academies had three quotas to distribute.
Jie Ge had already allocated his quotas to the top three of Skysplit Tower. Even if Zhang Xing made it to the top three, he would not receive his official mage credentials.
Zhan Tian glanced at the digits flashing beside Zhang Xing's name and let out a cold huff, dismissing it from his mind.
He had no intention of paying respects to the mentors nearby; his arrogance knew no bounds.
Just then, a shout rose from the crowd: "Zhang Xing has conquered the 23rd level—he's on the 24th now!"
All eyes turned to the Skysplit Tower, where the numbers were displayed.
"Zhang Xing has solidly secured a spot in the top three!" Kai Erduo's voice, filled with surprise, boomed across the crowd, drawing everyone's attention.
"He's reached his limit; there's no way he'll make it into the top three."
Zhan Tian's voice dripped with disdain, his words cutting through the air. He wasn't loud, yet his voice carried, reaching the ears of all present.
But no sooner had his words faded than the number on the tower flipped to 25!
The entire place went still, a collective gasp hanging in the air as they stared, stunned, at the number now glowing with a red light.
