C70 Do You Look down on the Dragon That I Brought?

"Prince Lei Dongtian, where is your dragon? Would you care to summon it so we may have a look?" Keith knew the truth, yet he wouldn't rest until he saw it with his own eyes.

"This dragon isn't mine; it belongs to my disciple. I've spent the last decade training him."

"Lei Zhan, call forth your dragon!"

Lei Dongtian instructed the young man, about seventeen or eighteen years old, standing behind him.

"As you command, Master!" Lei Zhan bowed reverently before turning to exit the arena.

Soon, the sound of the earth trembling reverberated throughout the vicinity. Under the watchful gaze of all present, a colossal Terrahynchus, six meters tall and twelve meters long, strode in with powerful steps.

Lei Zhan sat atop the Terrahynchus, appearing as a mere child from a distance.

The citizens of the Saint Laurent Empire gaped at the behemoth before them. They had only heard of Terrahynchus in legends, but now they witnessed one in the flesh, leaving them utterly astounded.

Emperor Keith and his entourage felt their hearts plummet.

Before them was a juvenile Lu Zhanloong of the Fourth Rank. Its massive body resembled a small hill, its skin like slabs of solid rock.

It was the bane of all ground forces—an army of tens of thousands could be routed by the mere presence of this Terrahynchus.

Even the Mage Corps aloft dared not approach too closely, wary of the twenty-meter-long flames it could unleash. Ordinary magic proved futile against such a beast.

"Is this really a dragon?" Zhang Xing wondered silently. He remembered dragons as creatures of flight.

In his past life as an anime editor, beings with robust limbs, colossal heads, and razor-sharp teeth were dubbed dinosaurs.

Indeed, they were also referred to as dragons, but such dragons were entirely different from those he envisioned.

Lei Dongtian was immensely pleased with the reaction from everyone in the Saint Laurent Empire.

His purpose today was to flex his might. Though he possessed but a single dragon, its presence wielded a significant deterrent effect on the Empire's border army.

As his eyes landed on a child at the center of the field, his mood soured.

The child, six or seven years old and just over a meter tall, was far from shocked or scared; instead, he wore a look of disdain.

"Lei Zhan, go and have a match with the students from these academies. Be careful not to injure them, okay?"

Lei Dongtian glanced at Lei Zhan, then shifted his attention to Zhang Xing.

Catching Lei Dongtian's gaze, Lei Zhan noticed Zhang Xing shaking his head and quickly grasped his meaning.

"The junior shaking his head, do you think you can scorn this Giant Dragon of mine?"

Lei Zhan, wielding a three-meter-long whip, pointed it at Zhang Xing and challenged.

"Are you referring to me?" Zhang Xing didn't look up, finding it too exhausting to crane his neck to speak to someone.

"Yes, I'm talking to you. What's your name? Would you be interested in a friendly bout?"

Lei Zhan's voice dripped with superiority.

"I'm Zhang Xing. I hope my name doesn't startle you awake in your dreams," Zhang Xing replied coolly.

Lei Zhan scoffed at Zhang Xing's response.

"Zhang Xing, don't be stubborn. Everyone, please take your seats," President Jager interjected.

He was aware of Zhang Xing's capabilities, but against a Giant Dragon, the odds were not in his favor.

"Is that President Jager I see?"

"Is this youngster named Zhang Xing your protégé?"

Lei Dongtian feigned astonishment, and without waiting for Jager to respond, he added, "Relax, Jager. It's just a friendly competition. Let my disciple show him the basic attack patterns of a Terrahynchus."

"Don't worry, Your Honor. I'm eager to witness the might of this grey Demonic Beast firsthand!" Zhang Xing said, his smile tinged with anticipation.
