C12 Jiang Zhan

"Blood-red starlight, thriving on flesh and blood, the yellow-rank medicinal herb, Blood Withering Grass!?"

Jiang Yuan scrutinized the four-leafed grass radiating a crimson glow before him. During the past year, he had delved into countless tales of the continent's wonders, and now he recognized the herb before his eyes.

Having reached the cave's depths, Jiang Yuan felt a sense of fulfillment as he uprooted the Blood Withering Grass from atop a decaying corpse.

What power could he gain from consuming this Blood Withering Grass? He wondered.

But as he approached the cave's entrance, a voice echoed from the exit.

"The wound on this Howling Silver Tiger is a mere three inches. It looks like it was slain without a chance to fight back. Whoever did this is not someone we can afford to mess with... Let's leave."

"Why fear? The one who killed the Silver Roar Tiger must be long gone. To effortlessly slay a Rank 1 Devil Beast is a feat for a Martial Master, and what Martial Master would waste time scavenging caves like this? But for us, the treasures within are invaluable!"

"Exactly, and the Silver Roar Tiger's Demon Core could significantly boost our rankings!"

"Alright, let's go in together..."

"Don't bother. Everything inside is mine, including this Howling Silver Tiger."

At his words, the group was startled, turning their gazes toward the cave's mouth, where they saw Jiang Yuan emerging slowly.

"Heh, I was curious who it might be. Turns out it's just you, the trash. Jiang Zhan, looks like we don't need to endure that foul stench inside the cave anymore."

Relieved to see Jiang Yuan, the group exhaled in unison.

Unfazed, Jiang Yuan brushed past the three men and once again seized the tiger's tail.

"Trash, hand it over!"

Jiang Zhan's eyes narrowed menacingly as he blocked Jiang Yuan's path, smirking.

Clearly, the other two were Jiang Zhan's lackeys, and they quickly took their places behind him as he stepped forward.

Ignoring them, Jiang Yuan hoisted the tiger's tail onto his shoulder and coldly retorted, "This belongs to me, not you."

One of Jiang Zhan's men, standing on the tiger's head, jeered, "Pah! You dare to talk back?"

"Drop it. Leave behind what you've taken from the cave, and I'll let you walk away."

Jiang Zhan gestured toward the cave and the Howling Silver Tiger.

"Exactly. We have no desire to soil our hands on someone as filthy and worthless as you. Show some sense, hand over the items, and you'll be free to go."

With a sardonic chuckle, Jiang Yuan retorted icily, "And how do you know I wasn't the one who killed this Howling Silver Tiger?"

"You? A piece of garbage? I could crush you with a single finger!"

"Ha! Let's see who's the real garbage here!"

Jiang Yuan's right hand swung out, and the massive corpse of the Howling Silver Tiger followed suit. His underling, who had been standing on the tiger's head, was yanked off balance and took a nasty fall, face-first into the dirt.

"You're asking for it!"

Although Jiang Zhan couldn't fathom where Jiang Yuan had mustered the strength to maneuver the tiger's carcass, he still saw Jiang Yuan as nothing more than trash.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The tiger's corpse became a sledgehammer in Jiang Yuan's grasp, each slam sending tremors through the ground.

Jiang Zhan, overwhelmed by the barrage and unable to retaliate, spat out in fury, "You're pathetic! If you're so capable, drop the tiger's corpse!"

"Drop it? Sure thing!"

At that, Jiang Yuan let out a light laugh, his movements halting momentarily before he unpredictably switched tactics and hurled the tiger's corpse directly at Jiang Zhan.

Caught off guard by Jiang Yuan's abrupt maneuver, Jiang Zhan couldn't evade in time and was pinned to the ground by the weight of the tiger's carcass.
