The Devourer Bloodline was obviously more interested in that drop of Blood Essence. Most of its devouring power was directed at it. A small phoenix was formed on the Blood Essence. It was obvious that the phoenix's will was fighting against the devouring power inside the Blood Essence. The Devourer Bloodline had to first eliminate this will before it could devour and absorb the Blood Essence
