C11 Contract Signing

Upon stepping into the grand lobby of Tianyue Media, Lin Hao couldn't help but silently marvel. Tianyue Media truly lived up to its reputation as the top entertainment company in Wangjiang City. The company's grandeur was evident in every luxurious detail of its decor.

Since his expulsion from the Lin family, Lin Hao hadn't set foot in such an upscale and majestic place for quite some time. The interior's modern simplicity, paired with its exquisite design and tastefully understated color palette, bore the signature of internationally renowned interior designers.

The overall ambiance of Tianyue Media was undeniably breathtaking.

Word of the new CEO's first day had quickly made the rounds at Tianyue Media. Everyone who encountered Lin Hao offered warm smiles and greetings, eager to make a favorable impression on the new leader.

Many were taken aback by Lin Hao's modest appearance, yet no one let their surprise show.

Ascending to the eighteenth floor, Lin Hao entered the president's office and settled into the executive chair, turning his attention to Sun Wenhui and Suen Rou who had followed him in.

"Do you need something from me?" he asked nonchalantly, flipping through the documents on his desk.

After exchanging glances, Sun Wenhui shot Suen Rou a reassuring look, then stepped forward. "Mr. President, I'm truly sorry about the events of today. As for Suen Rou's contract signing..."

Lin Hao chuckled without lifting his gaze. "Contract signing?"

"Mr. Hao, have you forgotten? I'm here to sign the contract today," Suen Rou interjected, her lips pursed and her smile forced.

Lin Hao looked up, set aside the paperwork, and reclined in his leather chair with a smile, silently observing the pair.

Seeing his reaction, Sun Wenhui grew anxious. "Mr. President, perhaps we could come to an arrangement? I'm willing to accept any punishment you deem fit, but please, don't revoke Suen Rou's contract, alright?"

His laughter filled the room. "Hahaha. Anyone unaware of the situation might think I enjoy throwing my weight around as president." At this, Sun Wenhui's cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Sun Wenhui might have been pushing 37, but thanks to her meticulous self-care, her complexion glowed with a youthful blush that made her appear no older than 27 – utterly captivating and alluring.

In the midst of Sun Wenhui's conversation, a knock at the CEO's office door interrupted her. Secretary Zhou approached the door, exchanged a few hushed words with the visitor, then closed it and returned to Lin Hao's side.

"Mr. Hao, Meng Junjie from the Meng family is here. He's looking to discuss a potential collaboration on packaging for the company's new talent," she informed him.

Lin Hao's brow furrowed at the mention of Meng Junjie's name; it irked him just to hear it.

"Get rid of that idiot, now! Tell the Meng family if they're serious about collaboration, they need to keep him away from Tianyue Media. Let them send someone else. If I approve of the candidate, then we can talk business."

Meanwhile, Meng Junjie was daydreaming in the lobby of Tianyue Media about the sports car he'd long coveted, a reward he anticipated from Old Madam Meng after securing the deal. He was completely taken aback by the blunt message relayed by Secretary Zhou's assistant.

As Secretary Zhou's svelte figure walked away, Meng Junjie stood dumbfounded for a moment before the reality of the situation sank in.

"Damn it!" he cursed out loud, instantly drawing the attention of everyone in the lobby.

Realizing he was still on Tianyue Media's turf, Meng Junjie clamped down on his rage and hastily made his exit.

Back at the Meng family estate, Old Madam Meng had summoned everyone for an urgent family meeting.

With all members of the Meng family present, Old Madam Meng let out a sigh and began, "Jie's attempt to negotiate a deal with Tianyue Media fell through, which I'm sure some of you are aware of."

"Grandma, Tianyue Media clearly has no respect for our family! They had the audacity to call me a fool right to my face and demanded I disappear on the spot!" Meng Junjie fumed, his face flushed with anger as he sat next to Old Madam Meng.

Upon hearing the news, the Meng family erupted into discussion. They were all astute individuals; it was clear to them what had transpired. Tianyue Media, the premier entertainment company in Wangjiang City, had bluntly told Meng Junjie to take a hike. And he, lacking the courage to confront them, was left to stew in his frustration at home. Even the matriarch of the Meng family, Old Madam Meng, didn't dare to demand an explanation from Tianyue.

"There, there, Jie, this ordeal has been tough on you," Old Madam Meng said, her voice heavy with sympathy for Meng Junjie. She gently patted his arm, trying to soothe his mix of anger and hurt.

"The new CEO of Tianyue Media is said to be a young man, barely into his twenties. To ascend to the helm of the city's top media company at such a young age, he's bound to be full of pride. It's no surprise he looks down on smaller clans like ours."

Old Madam Meng took a brief pause, scanning the room. "However, the CEO did mention that if the right person is found, collaboration wouldn't be an issue. So, I'd like to know, who do you all think is the best fit to negotiate this partnership?"

Her question was met with silence. The room fell still as eyes met in quiet understanding. After Tianyue's dismissal of Meng Junjie, who would dare step into the line of fire?

As the silence stretched, Old Madam Meng's expression grew more solemn. "What's the matter? No one is willing to step up?"

In the midst of the quiet, an idea struck Meng Junjie. A sly smirk played on his lips as he rose to his feet and declared, "Grandma, I believe Meng Shuran is the perfect candidate to handle this cooperation!"

His suggestion thrust Meng Shuran into the spotlight. She glared at Meng Junjie, who stood beside Old Madam Meng with a mischievous grin, feeling a surge of resentment.

Despite being aware of Meng Junjie's penchant for stirring trouble, she hadn't anticipated his audacity in dragging her into the matter of the partnership.

"Grandma, about this issue," Meng Shuran began, her voice tinged with frustration as she sought an out. She was about to offer an explanation to Old Madam Meng when Meng Junjie cut her off once more.

"Meng Shuran, Grandma was just about to ask you to pitch in for the Meng family. Are you trying to find an excuse to back out?" Meng Junjie said with a smile, noting Meng Shuran's rigid expression. "I'm aware that your Anji Corporation took a seven million loss recently. Aren't you still in need of four to five million for capital turnover? I'm looking out for you here. If you're ready to pull your weight for the Meng family and the collaboration goes well, Grandma certainly won't let your company go under."
