C132 Did He Have Someone He Loved
Does he have someone he loves?
She pushed open the door next door. Frank Scott was lying under the quilt, trying out his new toy. Since the new toy had several small lights, he simply hid inside the quilt to play.
Just as he was enjoying himself, he was suddenly startled by the smack on his butt. He quickly poked his head out of the blanket.
"It's so late and he's still playing? "You don't want to sleep anymore?" Clarie Scott was truly angered by this little rascal. It wasn't enough even after a day of playing. She had actually hidden herself in the blanket to play while sleeping.
"Mommy, I still have some things I don't understand. I'm currently researching …"
"I'll study it tomorrow, hurry up and sleep. Otherwise, I'm going to hit someone again." Clarie Scott felt that it was better to teach her son a lesson than to talk.
"Stop hitting me, I'm still sleeping. Seriously, you interrupted a new study on me. Mommy is so annoying." The little guy looked unhappy, but he still put away his toy and went to sleep on the bed.
"It's useless if you hate me, you still have to sleep!" Clarie Scott looked serious, but she was amused by her son's expression.
"Mommy, Daddy won't sleep with me tonight?" The little fellow asked curiously.
"I don't know. Your dad probably went back to his home halfway up the mountain. Don't wait for him."
"Ai, I don't know why, but if Daddy isn't by my side, I might lose my sleep." The little fellow said with a serious expression.
This time, Clarie Scott was truly amused by him. "You have lost sleep at such a young age? "I think you'll sleep like a little pig in a while. No matter how much I disturb you, you won't wake up."
"No way! Forget it, I might not even be able to sleep. I'm really going to fall asleep. I'm so sleepy! After Frank Scott retorted a few times, his eyelids started to twitch. Not long after, he was fast asleep. How could he possibly lose sleep?
Clarie Scott was finally relieved after coaxing the two little fellows to sleep. She sat on the balcony and drew an hour's worth of pictures. She decided to go downstairs to get a glass of water.
At this time, it was almost 12 o'clock. Clarie Scott and her child had been busy the whole day and were very tired.
The light in the living room was only turned on for a few minutes. As Clarie Scott walked down, she suddenly saw a person lying on the sofa.
Ye Zichen scared her so she quickly walked over and saw that the person lying on the sofa was Dempsey Wilson.
When did he come back?
And why did this man sleep on the sofa? Why don't you go upstairs and sleep?
Clarie Scott walked to the side of the sofa with a frown and caught a whiff of the faint smell of alcohol.
She was slightly surprised. Dempsey Wilson was drunk?
She stretched out her legs and kicked him on the leg. She shouted, "Hey, wake up, don't sleep on the sofa. The weather has turned cold. You'll get sick."
The other party didn't have any reaction. He only let out a few pained grunts.
Clarie Scott saw that he didn't seem to care at all when he said those words, so she squatted down in front of him.
He stretched out his hand and slapped Dempsey Wilson's face in a light and casual manner: "Dempsey Wilson, wake up. If you want to sleep, go to your room and sleep. Don't sleep here."
"Give me some wine …" Dempsey Wilson seemed to have heard someone's voice and spoke vaguely with a hoarse voice.
Clarie Scott glared at him in disdain. "You've already drunk so much, yet you still want to drink?"
"Bring me some wine …" Suddenly, before Clarie Scott could retract her hand that was slapping his face, she was grabbed by him. With a fierce tug, Clarie Scott unexpectedly laid down on his shoulder, scaring her to the point where her whole body went stiff.
"Dempsey Wilson, are you kidding me? Hurry up and let me go." Clarie Scott didn't expect that he would hold her hand when she was going to wake him up with good intentions.
"Women are all so heartless …" As if hearing a woman's voice, Dempsey Wilson, who was drunk to the point of being unable to reason, let out a mocking laugh.
Clarie Scott's beautiful eyes instantly opened wide. This man couldn't have been hurt by some woman, right? That's why he was so drunk. Now he was even scolding her. Was she being cruel? If she had been cruel, she would have knocked out the children.
"Why did you leave me!" Dempsey Wilson said again. These words made Clarie Scott feel that he must have gotten drunk because of some woman.
Clarie Scott's earlier concern to pay attention to him was instantly overshadowed by dark clouds. She tried her best to pull her hand away, but the man's grip was too tight.
Clarie Scott's little face was flushed red. Since he was drunk because of another woman, there was no need for her to show him her concern.
"Let go, you bastard! Let go!" Clarie Scott was infuriated as well. She opened her small mouth and bit into the back of his hand.
The man was in pain and decisively let go of her hand. Clarie Scott immediately took a few steps back and glared at him with her pair of beautiful eyes.
"Since it was another woman that hurt you, then I can't answer your question. If you want to sleep on the sofa, then go ahead and sleep. Who cares." Clarie Scott said angrily before she turned around and walked upstairs.
She even forgot why she had come downstairs.
When she returned to her room, Clarie Scott was lying beside her daughter. Looking at the little guy's face that was still sleeping soundly, Clarie Scott felt a stifling feeling in her heart.
She didn't know what was going on with this feeling.
Did Dempsey Wilson really have another woman outside? Then he must have loved her very much. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gotten drunk and said all those strange things.
Thinking about this, Clarie Scott felt sad in her heart. Looking at her daughter's innocent face, she wondered dejectedly if Dempsey Wilson would soon find a stepmother for her child.
Clarie Scott was even more frustrated. She had already made up her mind. If Dempsey Wilson really wanted to marry another woman, then she would leave here with her two children. She definitely wouldn't let her children be abused by their stepmother.
Perhaps her thoughts were too dark, and it was not as if all the stepmothers in the world would abuse her husband's children. However, she was afraid that since she was young, she was the only one who could bully these two little fellows.
She knew that she stopped Dempsey Wilson from marrying other women, so she was mentally prepared for it.
But why, at this moment, when she heard that he couldn't forget about other women, was her heart so stuffy?
Forget it, she better not think about it anymore. Perhaps, due to Dempsey Wilson's gentle attitude towards her these few days, she had some thoughts that she shouldn't have, but those thoughts were actually unable to disturb her mood.
In her heart, the children were the most important.
The next morning, Clarie Scott woke up very early. She also took her daughter's body temperature, which was normal. This meant that her daughter had taken some medicine, so the effect was still very good.
She ran next door to wake up her son, then washed the two little ones in the bathroom. Finally, he dragged them downstairs for breakfast.
When she walked down the stairs, she intentionally glanced at the sofa.
