Ye Yu pocketed the Acacia Ring, considering it perhaps the most exquisite gift one could receive.
His phone suddenly chimed.
Pulling it out, Ye Yu saw Han Xue's name on the screen.
"Ye Yu, do you have any plans this afternoon?" Han Xue's voice filtered through the call.
"I'm free."
"It's Valentine's Day, and I'm all by myself. Would you join me for a walk?" After a brief pause, Han Xue extended the invitation.
A flutter touched Ye Yu's heart as he softly responded, "Sure."
Pearl Park, the largest amusement park in Mingzhou City, bustled with activity, especially today. Couples strolled hand in hand, the air thick with romance.
"Ye Yu, over here!"
Han Xue called out from the park's entrance. Spotting Ye Yu approaching from a distance, she raised her voice.
Her figure was impeccably accentuated by a snug, snow-white coat, and her dark hair cascaded down her back, swaying with the breeze in an ethereal dance.
A delicate makeup graced her lovely face, which broke into an enchanting smile upon seeing Ye Yu, prompting passersby to sigh in admiration, wondering who had captured the heart of such a celestial beauty.
Approaching Han Xue, Ye Yu found himself at a loss for words in the face of her evident joy.
"Let's make the most of the day. It's a rare holiday, and with it being Valentine's Day, it's the perfect time for a stroll," Han Xue suggested, looping her arm through Ye Yu's and drawing him into the throngs of the amusement park.
Amidst envious stares from other men, Han Xue led Ye Yu through the crowd, enjoying the park's many attractions.
They paused at a small stall.
"Ye Yu, look how adorable that rabbit is!" Han Xue exclaimed, pointing excitedly at a rabbit doll and tugging on Ye Yu's hand.
The stall was filled with charming dolls and playful toys, but the standout was a large, snow-white rabbit with elongated ears.
"Excuse me, how much for this rabbit doll?" Ye Yu inquired, noticing Han Xue's fondness for it.
The stall owner gestured towards a wooden board and explained, "See that circle on the board? Hit the smallest one with a dart, and the rabbit is yours to take home!"
Ye Yu followed the vendor's pointed direction and caught sight of a wooden board standing upright about four or five meters away.
The board was covered with circles of varying sizes, the smallest of which had a diameter of merely five millimeters.
"Boss, that target is so tiny. How are we supposed to hit that?" Han Xue gazed at the distant wooden board, her lips pursed in a disgruntled pout.
"Xiao Xue, if you're keen on winning, I could lend a hand!"
A teasing voice floated from behind Ye Yu and Han Xue.
Turning around, they saw a tall man standing a short distance away, his gaze fixed on them.
He was clad in an elegant, expensive suit and was quite the looker, but the predatory gleam in his eyes caused Ye Yu's brows to knit together.
A daringly dressed woman lounged in the man's embrace, provocatively eyeing Han Xue, who wore a look of displeasure.
