C63 Qin Wufa
"What are you doing here, Qin Wufa?" Han Xue asked with a furrowed brow as she eyed the man.
Qin Wufa released the beauty he had been embracing, pulled out a few bills, and tucked them into the woman's cleavage. "You can go now," he told her dismissively.
A glimmer of joy appeared in the woman's eyes, but she clung to Qin Wufa, swaying her hips seductively. "But Qin Wufa, didn't you promise to spend the night with me?" she cooed.
With a firm push, Qin Wufa distanced himself from her and straightened his clothes, his voice cold and detached. "I won't say it again."
Stunned by his icy gaze, the woman shivered, then turned on her heel and hurried away.
Once she was gone, Qin Wufa faced Han Xue, his expression softening into a smile. "Uncle Han mentioned you were out. He's worried about you being alone, so he sent me to find you."
"I'm fine; I'm with my classmate," Han Xue retorted, gripping Ye Yu's hand.
Qin Wufa's eyes narrowed at the sight of their intertwined hands, and he regarded Ye Yu with disdain. "Xiao Xue, I've warned you about keeping bad company."
"Qin Wufa, mind your manners! He's my boyfriend!" Han Xue's voice was sharp with indignation.
Ye Yu could feel Han Xue's grip tighten, her body quivering ever so slightly.
"Your boyfriend?" Qin Wufa sneered, looking Ye Yu up and down. "He looks like he couldn't even afford a pair of shoes!"
His eyes glinted with provocation. "Besides, Uncle Han has explicitly told you not to date."
"Our relationship is none of your business! Now, if you would, please leave us be and stop spoiling our fun," Han Xue said, her hold on Ye Yu's hand growing firmer as if fearing he might slip away.
Ye Yu, though curious about Uncle Han's disapproval, knew this wasn't the time for questions. He clasped Han Xue's hand back and faced Qin Wufa with a calm demeanor. "Move aside, please. You're in the way of me claiming a prize."
Qin Wufa's anger flared, his gaze piercing and voice icy. "Kid, take your hand off her! Do you think you're good enough for Han Xue?"
Unruffled, Ye Yu met Qin Wufa's furious stare. "Xiao Xue and I are free to love whom we choose. It's not your place to interfere."
Qin Wufa burst into laughter, his look turning even chillier. "You've got nerve, kid! Fine, you want to give that rabbit to Han Xue? Let's see who's better then. If you lose, I want you out of here!"
The argument had drawn a crowd, and as the challenge was set, the onlookers stepped back, creating an impromptu arena. They watched the trio, buzzing with speculation about who would win the prize.
The stall owner had been a fixture in the amusement park for ages, and although many had tried, no one had yet managed to win the coveted rabbit prize.
"Hey, who do you think can hit the target?" whispered someone from the crowd.
"I doubt either of them has a shot. The stall owner's no fool; that circle's tiny, making it nearly impossible for them to hit!" Another person shook his head, eyeing the minuscule circle on the wooden board with a sigh.
"Why even bother competing? The guy's loaded. She'd be better off with him!"
"Exactly. Ye Yu might be the better-looking one, but looks don't pay the bills. If it were up to me, I'd go for Qin Wufa." A heavily made-up woman cast a flirtatious glance at Qin Wufa.
As the crowd murmured their opinions, Qin Wufa confidently stepped up to the stall. He casually picked up a dart and poised himself to take aim at the wooden board.
