Qin Qing's eyes welled up with tears when she heard Ye Yu's words. "Ye Yu, how could you say that? You never said that before!"

"What's really going on here, Qin Qing? Is there some kind of misunderstanding?" Han Xue had approached, sensing the complexity of the situation.

Qin Qing, who had previously greeted Han Xue with a smile, now lashed out at her. "Han Xue, enough with the act!"

Curious classmates from the neighboring class had gathered around upon hearing Qin Qing's outcry.

"Why?" Qin Qing burst into mocking laughter. "Because you're beautiful, because you come from a good family. Should all the good things in life be yours alone?"

"I won't stand for it!" Jealousy sparked in Qin Qing's eyes as she yelled, "Why should you have everything? I'm going to fight for it! Ye Yu has promised to be with me!"

The crowd of onlookers grew, whispering among themselves as they watched the trio at the center of the drama.

"What's really happening here?"

"Looks like Qin Qing from Class 5 and Han Xue from Class 1 are fighting over a guy!"

"Talk about drama!"

Ye Yu couldn't help but admire Qin Qing's acting skills. "Qin Qing, you'd better come clean, or you'll be the one embarrassed in the end."

Tears blurred Qin Qing's vision as she gazed at Ye Yu, her expression that of an abandoned puppy. "Mr. Ye, that's not what you said last night when you held me."

On the surface, Qin Qing played the victim, but inwardly she seethed with resentment. "You looked down on me, and now the whole school thinks you're a jerk. Let's see how you'll stay with Han Xue now!"

Han Xue, unfazed by Qin Qing's accusations, stated with conviction, "I know Ye Yu. He would never be with you."

Qin Qing scoffed, then retorted, "What do you know about men? Ye Yu has fallen for me!"

With a light chuckle, Ye Yu regarded the visibly rattled Ouyang Yu, "So, enlighten me—what exactly have I done?"
