While they were away, Jiang Loong cracked open a treasure chest.

Though his physique showed no apparent change after fusing the ten Genome Points, he was aware that his genetic potential had been enhanced.

The exact extent of the enhancement, however, would require specialized equipment to measure.

Half an hour later, the four zombies returned with another group exceeding ten, comprising eight males and four females, all Level One.

He synthesized the eight males into one Level Four zombie, then the four females into a Level Three zombie.

Finally, he merged two Level Four males.

After this round of synthesis, he had three female zombies: one Level Two, one Level Three, and one Level Four, as well as a Level Five male zombie and a Level Three male zombie.

And the Level Five male zombie took on the role of a bodyguard.

Any zombie that emerged from the door was quickly subdued by the young female zombie and then tossed into the Happy Match Game.

The number of zombies in Happy Match Game grew rapidly.

Jiang Loong noticed two zombies of the same level and gender in Happy Match Game.

Soon after, a Level Four female zombie and a Level Five male zombie materialized in Happy Match Game.

He flicked his finger once more.

Shortly, a second Level Four female zombie appeared.

This time, Jiang Loong didn't rush to synthesize her but instead kept merging the lower-level zombies.

After some time, a Level Four male zombie joined the ranks.

Half an hour later, only about twenty zombies remained outside.

This was to be expected; the town never had an abundance of zombies, and their levels were low to begin with.

With roughly a hundred zombies in total, even if they were all the same gender, the best he could do was merge them into a single Level Eight zombie, especially since they varied in gender.

During the skirmish between this zombie and a young female counterpart, Jiang Loong couldn't discern that the zombie, which lasted only two seconds, was at Level Three.

Suddenly, a male zombie burst through the gate, charging at Jiang Loong with incredible speed.

A high-level zombie!

Caught off guard, Jiang Loong stepped back as the Level Six male zombie at his side sprang into action.

High-level zombies were formidable adversaries with their immense strength, swiftness, and robust defenses.

The two zombies clashed fiercely. Yet, this high-level adversary demonstrated extraordinary combat prowess, driving Jiang Loong's Level Six male zombie into a relentless retreat.

Zombies typically refrained from attacking their own, but if provoked, they would instinctively retaliate.

Seeing the turn of events, Jiang Loong swiftly commanded the zombies tasked with barricading the door to seal it shut.

He then deployed three Level Four zombies he had recently acquired.

Jiang Loong was reluctant to send out the young girl.

Inside the room, the dynamics shifted to a four-on-one confrontation, with the quartet of zombies besieging the high-level one.

The high-level zombie let out piercing screams, looking like a middle-aged man, likely a high-level Awakener turned zombie.

It was a stroke of luck that he had mostly forgotten his extraordinary abilities post-transformation; otherwise, Jiang Loong and his group would have been doomed.

Nevertheless, his might was undeniable. Surrounded by four zombies, he held his ground without succumbing to a disadvantageous position.

He even managed to rip off the arm of one Level Four zombie, while the other two sustained injuries in the ensuing melee.
