C50

After Wu Zhengdao heard what the Holy Maiden said, he felt that there was something even deeper than despair. However, when he saw the centipede that was covered in legs repeatedly scratching his mouth, he only felt his mouth go numb, his entire body tremble, and his limbs had already become as stiff as an iron plate. He had no strength to resist.

When the Holy Maiden saw Wu Zhengdao's lips were tightly shut, she called for a few warriors to open his mouth and then slowly put the centipede into his mouth.

Wu Zhengdao closed his eyes. He felt that everything before him was too crazy and he was too unlucky. He wished that this was just a nightmare. He thought that the next time he would open his eyes, all of this would be gone. It was only when he felt something crawling on his tongue that he felt the reality before his eyes give him a resounding slap.

The Holy Maiden had someone cover Wu Zhengdao's mouth to prevent him from spitting out the centipede.

Wu Zhengdao's eyes were wide open as he hummed loudly. There was no need to think about it. He was definitely cursing.

When the Holy Maiden saw him like this, she felt extremely happy, so she came up to him and said, "It's fine. Just swallow it down later!"

When Wu Zhengdao heard her words, he was enraged. He snorted loudly, and then saw the Adam's apple on Wu Zhengdao's neck move. Then, Wu Zhengdao suddenly stopped moving, and his stiff body turned soft.

The Holy Maiden saw his appearance and immediately panicked. She yelled at the warriors to retreat, walked to Wu Zhengdao's side, took his hand and felt his pulse, then threw it away and said, "Don't pretend to be dead. I told you not to resist, now it's still in your mouth!"

Wu Zhengdao, who was originally calm, suddenly struggled to raise his head and shouted hysterically, "I want to fight you!" Then he gripped the bed with both hands, his head bobbing up, the string of tendons that bound him creaking. He made several attempts to get up, but he was still unable to break free.

As soon as the Holy Maiden realized the situation was not good, she called the warrior beside her to bring a small red drum. Then, she heavily beat the drum's surface.

Wu Zhengdao only heard the sound of the drum and felt a pain in his stomach, but he couldn't figure out where it was.

Following that, the Holy Maiden knocked on the drum once more.

Wu Zhengdao instantly felt an even deeper pain than the last time. He cried out in pain as the ox-tendon rope was broken into seven or eight pieces.

When the Holy Maiden saw that the cow tendon rope suddenly snapped, she didn't know how to react. She could only blankly watch as Wu Zhengdao twisted around on the bed like a mollusk.

This time, Wu Zhengdao felt as if his whole body was being pricked. It felt like thousands of hands were tearing at his internal organs. Sweat was flowing out of Wu Zhengdao's body like water. He was gasping for breath, scratching his body with both of his hands while hissing sounds came from his mouth.

The Holy Maiden saw that he was in pain and said, "Hmph, now you know how powerful you are! Now, let me ask you, are you going to listen to my orders or not?! "

After a long while, Wu Zhengdao finally recovered. With a hoarse voice, he weakly said, "Don't even think about it!"

The Holy Maiden saw that he was so stubborn, so she picked up the little red drum and knocked it again.

At this time, Wu Zhengdao suddenly stood up and jumped a few times on the bed. He waved his hands wildly, his ten fingers curling into a hook, tugging at his hair and grabbing his bloody torso again. Finally, he jumped off the bed and headed straight for the opposite wall.

When the Holy Maiden saw that he was about to smash into the wall, she threw herself in front of him, raised her hand and struck him with a palm, slamming him onto the bed.

Wu Zhengdao squeezed out a sentence from his clenched teeth: "Let me die!"

When the Holy Maiden saw that Wu Zhengdao could not hold on for much longer, she ordered a warrior to bring her a bowl of water. She then walked to Wu Zhengdao and said, "This bowl of water made by me can ease the pain in your heart, but you better not think about escaping. Because, no matter how far you run, as long as I give you a light tap on the drum, you will suffer a fate worse than death. The highest realm one can reach is as long as I strike you, you can't kill yourself with a blade! Did you hear what I said clearly?! " Then, he stared at Wu Zhengdao.

At this moment, Wu Zhengdao was like an injured little animal. His hands hugged his knees and his entire body was shivering. His messy hair revealed a pair of lifeless and dull eyes, as if he was a fool.

Seeing that he did not answer, the Holy Maiden raised her hand in a threatening manner, pretending to pat the little red drum.

When Wu Zhengdao saw that the Holy Maiden was about to hit the damn drum again, he immediately turned his head and moved his dry lips. He said in a hoarse voice, "I will listen to you!"

Seeing that her plan had succeeded, the Holy Maiden happily smiled and said, "That's more like it!" After saying that, he waved his hand, indicating that he should give the bowl of medicine to Wu Zhengdao.

Although the Holy Maiden didn't beat the drum anymore, Wu Zhengdao still felt an unbearable pain in his stomach. When he saw the medicine that could temporarily stop the pain, he immediately leaned forward to take it.

After drinking the potion, Wu Zhengdao gently rubbed his stomach. The pain was slowly disappearing, and he secretly glanced at the Holy Maiden. The Holy Maiden was listening to a warrior who had just entered the room and was reporting to him.

After the Holy Maiden heard what the warrior had to say, her face sank. She then called out to the outside and a one-eyed old man slowly walked in. He bowed to the Holy Maiden.

The Holy Maiden gave the one-eyed old man a nod and said, "I have important matters to attend to. Take a good look at this Daoist!"

The one-eyed old man glanced at Wu Zhengdao and said, "Have you poisoned him?"

The Holy Maiden sneered as she looked at Wu Zhengdao before nodding her head. She then handed the small red drum to the one eyed old man and said, "If he dares to be dishonest again, you can ring this drum!"

The one eyed old man lowered his head and said, "Yes, I will definitely look favorably upon him!"

After the Holy Maiden walked to the door, she turned around and said to the one eyed old man, "Don't play him to death!"

The one-eyed old man bowed towards the Holy Maiden and said, "Don't worry, Holy Maiden. I will do as you say!"

After the Holy Maiden left, the one-eyed old man slowly walked up to Wu Zhengdao and said with a smile, "Dao leader, how did you end up like this?"

Wu Zhengdao drank the medicine from the Holy Maiden. Although not much time had passed, his body felt much better. He knew that this one-eyed old man must be full of evil tricks when he saw the old man looking at him with a smile. He then turned his head to the side and said, "Do I need you, a one-eyed man, to manage me?"

The one eyed old man continued to look at him with a smile, then proudly took out a small red drum and said, "How long do you think the medicine the Holy Maiden gave you will last?!"
