C4 One week later

It was a week since that accident. Dexter was allowed to leave the hospital but his leg would not heal for a few more weeks, but as long as he could leave, it was fine. He had enough of the hospital, he was looking forward to being back in society. Besides, laying in that bed, all he could think of was that pretty face that was burned into his memory. Who was that girl that saved him? He will never forget the face. She was so beautiful that he could not bear to leave her a mystery. Perhaps it was her, the woman from the fountain of youth that he so desired. She looked young for certain.

No, impossible.

That was just a fairy tale he tells himself to feel better. He lives in a society where a man his age dating a high school girl would be the worst thing ever. He would be called a dirty old man even at this age. He would never be able to recover his reputation should such information be revealed. But still, his burning passion was lit. That woman looked so young and beautiful. Could it be, could it really be, an actual teenager who saved him? No, that can't be. Teenage girls would be scared of being involved in such an accident, let alone pull a fully grown man out of it. Only a very brave and courageous girl would be able to do it, but could such a girl exist?

Such thoughts kept swimming in his head that he just had to get out of that hospital and get back to work.

Sheona was waiting for him in front of a car with a chauffeur, ready to take him back to work. She sees him walk out of the doorway with crutches to support his leg in a cast and runs up to help him.

"Don't worry," he said, "I can manage."

"Are you sure?" she says with concern.

"Yes. Please, I'm fine," the chauffeur opens the door for him and at least here, she helps him enter. After everyone was ready, the car drives out of the hospital driveway.

"No more ride-shares," she tells Dexter, "that driver even had a bad review. I'll never know why people get into strangers' cars."

"Don't talk about him like that. He died, you know."

"It was his fault. He is responsible for all this."

"Sheona, be more respectful."

Knowing she wasn't going to win this, she sighs and says, "fine, but from here on, I want you to take a chauffeur instead. You have been a CEO for some time, you have the privilege now."

"I guess I should. Okay, I'll do as you say."

"Good. I'm glad you are doing well now. Hopefully, you'll be back on your feet in no time."

The thoughts of that pretty face were still in his mind. Even now, he could not forget that face that he saw. He turns to Sheona and tells her, "Was there anyone at the scene?"

"What do you mean?"

"Someone pulled me out, right? The news articles said I was found outside the car after it exploded."

"That's right, someone pulled you out, but we didn't find that person. You were lucky to have someone pass by and pull you out."

"But nobody knows who it is?"

"No. There was no sign of anyone on the scene, but you must have been pulled out because there were no signs that you were blown away from the explosion. That's what the police said."

"Really?" Dexter sat there, thinking about this. Someone rescued him but nobody knows who it was. Yet, he clearly saw it, a pretty girl that was dragging him out before he lost conscience. It must have been her, she's the one who rescued him. But who was she, he wondered. Will they ever meet again?
