C7 Dexter's Anguish

Leila gets on her phone and explains her situation to Tomi.

"I'm sorry to hear that," says Tomi, "I know you love your dad so much."

"It's not fair," Leila says with tears in her eyes, "that stupid woman keeps treating me like a tiny child. I am not a little kid. I should be making my own decisions like an adult."

"So are you never going to see your dad ever again?"

"Of course I am! My mom went too far. In fact, I don't want to do anything she tells me ever again!!"

"And what are you going to do about it?"

"Well... I don't know. I'm still just a high school student."

"I think I know what you can do? I have a friend, Shanon. She once told me she went out on a date with an older guy."

"Older guy?"

"Yeah. She went out with a 25-year-old businessman."

"Really? How did she do it?"

"She went on a dating site and found him there. Thought these sites require you to be 21 years old, but she lied about her age."

"You think I should do that?"

"It might be worth a shot. You're pretty enough. You can probably find a cute guy too."

"I guess I can try it. Tell me how."

Meanwhile, Dexter was sitting at home, feeling down and ashamed. Sheona, his assistant, just admitted her feelings for him and ran away crying. He felt so bad about it. He wondered if she was going to quit her job because of it. He would not be surprised if she did, but what a shame because he didn't like her that way. He didn't even find her attractive. She had a youthful look but she was clearly very mature at the same time. Dexter was really only attracted to very youthful girls. Only a woman that looked so young could captivate his heart, like the pretty girl that just won't leave his mind, and so far only teenagers were giving him feelings in his heart and soul, but he couldn't do a thing about that because he lived in a country where that was illegal. He was so tempted to just move to a country where it was allowed, but he had too much going on where he lived, so that was not possible.

He just sits there, anguishing over this. Who was that girl in his head that would not leave him alone? Was she really the one who rescued him? There is no evidence of who exactly it was who pulled him out of that car, but it was clear that he saw someone pull him out and that girl is the only one that comes to mind.

She could be the one, the very one his soul has been searching for. The Woman from the Fountain of Youth. He just had to find this woman.

He goes online, in hopes of finding clues to where this mysterious woman could be. He reads article after article, trying to see if that pretty girl can be seen anywhere. But every news article and video only goes as far as simply showing him and his situation. All of the articles do question who pulled him out, there are even conspiracy videos online trying to figure this out, with some even saying it was aliens of all things. But as far as answers were concerned, he wasn't getting any.

Then, on one of these websites, he sees an ad for a dating site. He rolls his eyes at this. 'This is not for me', he tells himself. But then he thinks to himself that maybe, in a million to one chance, that she could be there, waiting for him. Who knows, maybe she is looking for him too!

With that thought in his mind, he clicks the ad.
