C4 Honeymoon?

"I want to say a very big thank you to everyone who was able to make it here today. I can not thank you enough. you know today would not have been possible without you guy...." James voice giving the appreciation speech faded into the background as I smelled it again. it was heavenly and absolutely mouth watering and this time, it seemed closer to me I turned my head around trying to catch the owner of the scent but as if the person noticed, it vanished as if it was never even there in the first place.

'is the goddess trying to play a cruel joke on me?' I thought to myself.

"now over to my beautiful wife" James said dragging me out of my mind search.

"huh?" I said as I looked at the mic that was in front of me.

"your appreciation speech?" he said looking at me weirdly. "oh" I said as took the mic from his hands and stepped forward.

"I want to thank everyone one that made it here today, it was lovely, coming out here. I really do not have much else to say so please, enjoy the rest of the evening" I said and gave a smile.

I felt really awkward. I did not feel like I wanted this marriage to carry on. not because I was having second thoughts about James or anything but because of my mate. or at least the supposed mate.

I was curious and annoyed.

'did he not want me?, was I that repulsive!! had he already planned to reject me?' I thought to myself

'well jokes on him if he did because I was going to do that first." I huffed feeling very annoyed.

"Ari!!" Shannon called me from a distance waving her hands at me as she came to me. That though was not what caught my attention. what caught my attention was the guy that had his arm hooked around hers.

"Caspian?" I called as they came closer to me.

"you two know each other?" she asked looking in between us.

"yeah we have met" he said giving a smile which seemed more like a smirk than anything.

"well I would like you to meet my cousin from my mother's side he is a real pain in the ass" she said in a whispering gesture only she was loud and and even caring that Caspian was by her side.

"well I beg to differ. of anyone is a pain in the ass, it's you" he said rolling his eyes.

"don't test me baby boy! I would beat your ass and hand it over to you with out breaking a sweat." she said in a childish manner. no one who saw her the moment would believe that she was a twenty seven year old Alpha who ran the seventh largest pack. in fact, if not her physique she would have been taking for a thirteen years old who was going through hormonal changes.

"I would like to see you try" Caspian said. "oh really? I did it before and I would do it again" she said smiling wickedly.

"oh please that was when I was what?, twelve, and for being a child you are not as old as you think you little girl" he said smiling and patting her in her head like she really was a little child.

"why... you.." she said as she looked like she was about to throw him a punch.

"ummm guys? I think you should save all these for later" I said not ready to have my wedding ruined by two idiots.

"you are right. so we were thinking-" before Shannon could complete what she was saying, James out of nowhere came and wrapped his hands round his arms round my waist.

"it seems like all I have done today was look for you" he said. Although he was joking, I kind of knew it was true.

"baby, this is my best friend Shannon and her cousin Caspian." I said ignoring what he said.

"hi" he said and stretched out his hands and shook both of them.

"wow, that's a really strong grip" he said as he shook Caspian.

"it's a hand shake not a ballerina" was all Caspian said in reply.

before all the bones in James hand was broken, Shannon not so gently nudged Caspian to let James go.

"I am sorry about that this one here is actually not a people's person" Shannon said trying to make light if the situation.

"so as I was saying" she continued after she and Caspian had laughed rather awkwardly. "I talked to your mom about things and since I realized you are not going for a honeymoon I have decided that you should go" she said in a breath.

"shanny, you did not have to. " I said shaking my head at her.

"but I want to. besides, what kind of best friend would I be if I did not give you a gift?" she said as she hugged me.

"here you go" she said as as brought out an envelope from her purse.

I was shocked. the tickets said Santa Catalina island. I did not know what to do.

"oh my goodness" I screeched.

"you don't have to go to make me happy but if you do" Shannon rumbled.

"shut it!! I love it" I said as I hugged her the third time today.

"babe can we go?" I said and turned to look at James who had been watching this ordeal. the whole time.

"of course baby anything for you. but the flight-" he said looking worried.

"it has been taken care of along with your accommodation" Shannon said "you are the best." I said genuinely touched by the gift.

"I know baby" now if you don't mind, we have to run along now I came from a busy schedule to make it here and this one can't wait to go" she said pointing to Caspian.

"I understand. I am really glad you could make it. thank you"

"any time honey" she said and left

"i will be seeing you around then Ariel" Caspian said calling my name and making me to shiver slightly hopefully, it was not obvious.
