C26 Three Hundred Million Yuan It's Still Affordable in the Heavens!(2)

The door was ajar, and through the narrow opening, the silhouettes of four people could be glimpsed, embroiled in a heated argument that echoed from within.

"Wenling, you're well aware of the company's dire straits. Without capital, it's on the brink of collapse. Raising 300 million quickly is out of the question, and the bank won't shoulder this risk for you. The most prudent course of action is to sell the company and cut our losses to the fullest extent," said a middle-aged man draped in luxury, lounging on a sofa in the office, his voice grave.

This man was Bai Wenling's uncle, Liang Shaan. Seated beside him were her other uncle, Liang Feng, and her aunt, Zhu Ganhua.

Bai Wenling's expression chilled at his words, her eyes a frosty swirl of indignation. "Uncle, I built Butterfly Loving Flower Company from the ground up. It's weathered countless storms over the years. While you've done nothing, you've reaped dividends of over a million annually. Now, when the company's funds are stolen, your immediate advice is to sell?"

"Wenling, your uncle has your best interests at heart. You've achieved so much at such a young age, bringing great pride to the Bai family. But with that success comes immense pressure and responsibility. Facing this crisis, it's unrealistic to think you can handle it alone. Selling the company gives you a chance to regroup and, if need be, start afresh," interjected her aunt, Zhu Ganhua, a middle-aged woman adorned with ostentatious jewelry and heavy makeup, her long, narrow eyelashes casting a somewhat seductive and vulgar air.

"Regroup?" Bai Wenling fixed her gaze on Zhu Ganhua, her voice laced with scorn. "Or is it that you're worried about missing out on your share of the funds if my company goes under?"

Zhu Ganhua's face flushed crimson, her composure slipping at the accusation.

At this, Liang Feng, who had been observing the exchange, slammed his hand on the table and snapped, "Wenling, is that any way to address your elders?"

"Your aunt urged you to sell the company because she hates seeing you work yourself to the bone. With the company up against so many cutthroat competitors, how do you expect to manage, being a young woman?"

Unmoved, Bai Wenling bit her lip lightly, "If you truly cared about my well-being, you would have offered financial support to help Butterfly Loving Flower Company weather this storm, instead of pressuring me to sell."

Liang Feng and Zhu Ganhua exchanged a glance and promptly fell silent. They had no intention of offering financial help; their goal was to persuade Bai Wenling to sell the company and profit from the sale.

"Wenling, the reason we're here today, pushing for the sale, is actually at your parents' behest," Liang Shaan, Bai Wenling's uncle, interjected.

"Mom and Dad?" Bai Wenling stopped in her tracks, her sneer deepening, "Figures. Those two leeches have been siphoning benefits off me for years, particularly with my marriage. They practically sold me to the Su family of Jinling Province, likely pocketing wealth and influence in return."

With a loud "Bang!" Liang Shaan's palm struck the table, his face seething with anger, "Wenling, you're a Harvard graduate for goodness' sake. Is this how you speak—without any decorum?"

"Decorum is reserved for those who deserve it," Bai Wenling replied frostily. "Dear uncle, I respect you as my elder and have no desire to quarrel. But you're well aware of how my parents have treated me over the years."

Liang Shaan opened his mouth but found himself at a loss for words. Indeed, Bai Wenling's parents had never provided her with the warmth of a family, instead using her as a bargaining chip for their own gain.

Zhu Ganhua rolled her eyes and let out a sigh, "Wenling, your parents arranged your marriage to the Su family for your benefit. The Sus are among the elite in Jinling Province, both in business and politics. Ask around; countless families like the Bais can only dream of an alliance with the Sus!"

"Even though you're marrying a black sheep ousted from his clan, you're still marrying into the Su bloodline. Someday, he'll be welcomed back and reclaim his rightful status."

"By then, you'll be part of the Su family as their daughter-in-law. Just a flick of your wrist, and wealth and power will come pouring in. Companies like Butterfly Loving Flower? You can have as many as you wish."

Bai Wenling let out a cold laugh before retorting, "And so?"

"There's no need for you to worry about the future. The company's a hot potato right now. Sell it off, shed the weight off your shoulders, and you can live comfortably. Once you're of legal age, you'll marry into the Su family. As their daughter-in-law, the Su family won't shortchange you."

"That does sound tempting." Bai Wenling cracked a smile, but her tone quickly turned mocking. "Seems like my parents really went the extra mile to convince me to sell the company!"

Her words cast a shadow over the faces of the three before her.

"Wenling, we, your elders, have been speaking to you with the utmost respect, yet you repeatedly show us none. If that's how it's going to be, then there's nothing more to discuss. The Butterfly Loving Flower Company is doomed to fail, and there's no saving it. Your stubbornness will only sink you deeper into the mire, and regret won't help you then!"

"I will not regret it, and the company will not fail!" Bai Wenling declared, meeting their gazes with unwavering conviction.

The trio exchanged glances, almost amused. "Wenling, are you still in denial?"

"The company's been embezzled of two hundred million dollars, the mastermind's taken their own life. Are you still hoping to recover that money?"

"Come to your senses. Selling the company is your only way out. Or are you expecting a windfall of three hundred million dollars to fall from the sky to keep the company afloat?"

Stung by their biting words, Bai Wenling trembled with rage.

Confronted by their relentless barrage, she stood there, a picture of helplessness, a wisp of desolation crossing her face, mirroring the sadness within.

With her own family against her, who was left to stand by her side?

In her daze, the image of Su Hao filled her thoughts.

Would he stand by her as he did before, holding up her world?

The office door suddenly swung open with a "creak," pulling her from her reverie.

Sunlight streamed through the doorway, casting a dreamlike glow over the entire office, transforming the once-dim space into a kaleidoscope of color and light.

Beneath the sun's rays, a gentle breeze accompanied the entrance of a slender man.

His face was fair and sharply contoured, his eyes dark and profound, as if piercing through all facades. Despite his slight frame, he carried himself with a commanding presence that seemed to defy the world.

He produced a named cheque from his pocket and laid it on the desk, his lips curving into an intriguing smile.

"Three hundred million yuan... It's still within reach from the heavens!"
