C3 Chapter 3

Su Yue headed straight to home. She removed her makeup and carried out her skincare routine. Lying in bed, she reminisced about the young man who was like a beast, and fell asleep with a smile on her face.

The next morning, she dressed herself up in a professional suit and entered her office in high spirits.

With the company's change in personnel, not only had Su Yue become the department manager, but a new business director had also been appointed. Word was that a few other newcomers would be joining as well.

She had just entered the company when she received a notification saying that the new director wanted all department managers to gather for a meeting in the meeting hall.

When Su Yue entered the meeting hall, she shrunk back in shock.

A few years ago, Ronan had failed to occupy the position of department head in competition with her. Now, apparently he had become the director!

When Ronan saw Su Yue enter the room, he smiled with pride, moving his hands behind his back. "Miss Su, you didn't expect me to come back, did you?"

In the past, he had always touched Su Yue inappropriately and provoked her. He had robbed all of his customers, which forced him to leave and work at the branch company.

Who knew that he would one day become her superior?

Su Yue's surprise only lasted for a second before she put on a warm smile on her face. "I haven't seen you in a few years. Mr. Luo, you are now much more handsome than you used to be. You seem to have abs too! Have you started working out?"

Ronan laughed. "It's not good to avoid working out. Otherwise, I won't be able to compete with you youngsters!"

"You must be joking, Mr. Luo. I'm already over thirty years old. I'm not young anymore," Su Yue replied with a smile. She had twisted and complicated emotions in her heart, but her features remained calm.

Luo Nan smiled and pointed at the door. "Miss Su, you came at the right time. I'll introduce you to a new colleague of yours. He is the manager of the second department of business, Xiao Gan."

Su Yue turned around and looked at the person at the door. The calm mask on her face could not be maintained any longer and broke into pieces.

The man who had spent the few hours last night with her was now standing at the door, looking at her without any emotion on his features. But she could see a hint of surprise in his eyes.

Su Yue decided that she must pay a visit to the temple as soon as she could, so that she could offer incense and pray to the Buddha.

The two men she never imagined she would work with had descended to her door on the same day. They would not even dare to write novels like this!
