C7 Chapter 7

Ronan had been fired, and Su Yue had risen to power at jet speed. Before anyone could react to what was happening, Su Yue had become the director.

That night, Su Yue treated everyone to a feast, accepting their toasts one by one.

They were not stupid. At that moment, they suddenly realized that Su Yue had not wanted o climb onto Ronan's bed to ascend to her position. In fact, she had wanted to find an opportunity to get Ronan fired.

She was a scheming, courageous woman. No one would want to cross her path.

None of the managers showed dissatisfaction toward Su Yue. Everyone was the picture of cheerfulness.

Only Xiao Gan drank in silence, glancing at Su Yue in confusion from time to time.

Su Yue raised her eyebrows at him. "What, is there something on your new boss's face?"

Xiao Gan shook his head. "I have never met a woman like you."

"I am a mystery that you failed to understand." Su Yue was on round number three of drinks. She had become quite drunk.

She turned and went to the washroom. Quietly and without attracting attention, Xiao Qian followed her. He asked her tentatively, "Are you single?"

"Three years single." Su Yue pointed three shaky fingers at him.

Xiao Gan hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Then you..."

Before he could finish, a figure suddenly pounced on Su Yue. He gnashed his teeth together and said, "Su Yue, you slut! I won't forgive you!"

It was Ronan.

Xiao Gan didn't say a word and stood in shock in front of Su Yue. Ronan had trained in combative martial arts for more than ten years, bu he could not even last three minutes with Su Yue.

It was shocking to see how Su Yue pushed him away. She kicked him with a roundhouse kick, stunning him. Two hooks knocked him down farther to the ground, and she stepped with her high heels on his chest.

"You? Forgive me?" Su Yue sneered.

Xiao Gan could not help but applaud Su Yue in his head.

Although she did not seem to have a lot of strength, her moves were swift and fierce. She really was not putting on airs with her attack.

"You've trained well," Xiao Gan praised her.

"A single woman must have the ability to protect herself." Su Yue blinked at him.

Seeing the fight, the waiter had called up the police. Soon, the three of them were brought to the police station.

Before Su Yue left, she signed the bill and told her colleagues, who were dumbfounded, to eat and drink well without paying the dues.

Xiao Gan laughed softly at her side.

When they arrived at the police station, Su Yue told the police, "I want to report this case!"

Before the policeman could react, she pulled up the video on her phone. "This person has been sexually harassing me!"

Ronan was dumbfounded.

Hearing the serious blame of sexual harassment, the policewoman came forward to watch the video. Ronan's grabby hands kept on trying to touch Su Yue in the video, while Su Yue kept dodging him and lowering her head. It clearly looked like she was being taken advantage of.

She changed the video to the surveillance footage of the restaurant. Ronan had pounced on her without her knowledge.

The female police officer glared at Ronan and asked Su Yue to go next door to make a statement. Xiao Gan also went with her.

Xiao Gan finished with his statement quickly and waited for Su Yue at the entrance of the police station.

Su Yue came out, her footsteps light. Xiao Gan quietly followed behind her. After thinking for a while, he said to her, "I want to treat you to a meal. Let's eat out alone."
