Su Yue turned her head and said with a smile, "You're inviting me to dinner? I always pay for my own meals."

Xiao Gan was very rarely rejected. He was stunned for a moment and asked her, "What do you want in exchange?"

"Introduce me to your new client." Su Yue giggled. "The biggest businessman in the country."

Xiao Gan's face darkened. "What do you want to do with him?"

"Are you going to do it or not? Otherwise forget it." Su Yue turned around and walked away as if she had had enough of the conversation. Xiao Gan stayed where he was and looked at her graceful back. He was puzzled. Had she bewitched him somehow? He paid too much attention to this woman.

In the end, Xiao Gan brought the boss of the company along. Su Yue came to the cafe downstairs to meet him over coffee.

Su Yue was surprised. She thought that Xiao Gan would at most be able to get the vice president of the business. She didn't expect the young man to have such good connections.

The woman looked very let down and timid. "Ronan really harassed you?"

Su Yue took out her phone and played the infamous video for the nth time. "See for yourself."

The woman took the phone, thanking Su Yue. She had watched the video for only two seconds when she covered her mouth and started crying.

Su Yue looked at her coldly. After a while, she asked her, "Really, how old are you? You're an adult. Don't cry."

"Thirty-two," the woman said, sobbing.

"Do you have a job?"

"I'm a housewife," the woman replied.

She looked at Su Yue, who was a confident and bright woman. She wanted to present herself in a better light. Gaining some confidence, the woman said, "I used to write in the media, and I've written quite a few explosive articles..."

"Then how did you end up like this?" Su Yue frowned. "Don't say that because you wanted to take care of your child, the media job didn't work out for you. You could have written articles on how to take of children! There are always avenues."

"Ronan said that I don't need to work. That he'd be there for everything..." the woman sobbed, her breath catching in her throat.

Su Yue frowned and took her phone back. "What are you crying for? Leave me a phone number. I'll introduce you to a lawyer."

"What?" The woman stopped crying and looked at Su Yue in a daze.

"Ronan said that if I marry him, he will immediately dump you, the woman who had been his wife for years. He said that he would get the assets transferred in his name." Su Yue crossed her arms. "A dog can't change its mind. Why don't you dump him before he takes all that is precious to your life and seizes the property?"

The woman trembled for a long time as if she had been struck by lightning. She quietly asked, "Is that what he said?"

"Why would I lie to you? If I wanted to get into his bed, you and the child would have been kicked out long ago."

As Su Yue spoke, she took the phone in the woman's hand and unlocked it in front of her. She left her number and said in disdain, "I'm the same age as you. I make money and spend it on myself. When I have a child in the future, I'll raise him myself. I would be the happiest woman on earth."

The woman was so shocked that she could not say anything.

Su Yue patted her shoulder. "Why don't you go back and write your story? It would no doubt be explosive."

Xiao Gan followed behind her, saying, "Ronan really said that?"

"No." Su Yue shook her head.

"You lied to her?" Xiao Gan stopped in his tracks.

Xiao Gan shrugged helplessly. "No, I'm used to it."
