C19 That's it

The next morning, I woke up early. I remembered my father telling me about my grandfather taking in a master to learn carpentry skills, and I also felt that I should be more serious about taking in a master.

The mortuary was very quiet in the morning. After all, this was not a square. No auntie would dare to dance here at this time of day.

Uncle Liu was swinging his teacup in as usual. The tea in the teacup was extremely cheap and couldn't be cheaper. One had to admit that it gave off a feeling of seclusion within the city.

"Luo Sheng, are you done thinking?" When Uncle Liu saw me, he smiled and called me over. Actually, I already had an answer for this matter yesterday.

"Yes!" "Take me in as well. Is there anything special about me taking you in as my master?" I asked Uncle Liu. From what Lin Jiang said, Uncle Liu is a proper Daoist, so he should have his own procedures regarding taking in disciples.

Uncle Liu nodded his head when he heard this. He then reached into his bosom and took out a notebook with a leather cover and handed it over.

"Since this is your decision, I won't stop you. You should keep this book well. Reading it from time to time is of great help to you." After saying that, Uncle Liu planned to go out to eat breakfast. On the contrary, I wasn't used to it.

"Ah?" That's it? You don't need to kowtow and toast your tea, do you? " I asked curiously, thinking back to when my grandfather paid for the three catties of rice noodles when he was in charge of the carpentry. Why did he come to Uncle Liu's place so casually?

"AHH!" That's it, what else do you want? That's right! Your Uncle Liu is in a good mood today, so I'll treat you to some noodles. " Uncle Liu replied as if it was as expected.

However, when I heard Lin Jiang talking about this later on, I understood that Uncle Liu had always been a very low profile Daoist Priest. Don't just look at his abilities, even if he was almost godlike, but what he hated the most in normal days were those rules and regulations.

When Lin Jiang was Uncle Liu's disciple, he also accepted it in a few sentences, without any unnecessary rules.

Following Uncle Liu into the noodle shop, I impatiently flipped through the book that Uncle Liu handed me. I thought to myself that this thing was like a secret manual no matter what, but when I opened it, I was stunned.

This thing was not a secret manual, but a summary of everything that happened to him since he became a Taoist. It was somewhat like his diary, but also like Uncle Liu's autobiography of playing around with nothing to do.

"Uncle Liu, you're not going to let me see this thing and self-study, right?" Putting everything aside, just his ability to draw talismans in the air makes me especially eager to learn it.

"Well, what else? "Actually, this is more or less the same as you going to school. You just have to find the answer whenever you encounter a problem. I've worked hard for most of my life, so don't look down on this book."

While the noodles were served, I took the opportunity to read it. The first page described the first thing that Uncle Liu experienced after his studies, an old Chinese medical doctor who died during the Cultural Revolution.

Old Chinese medicine was very rich and had a beautiful daughter, but a head of the Red Guards had taken a fancy to his daughter and, under a bad name, killed her, inherited her family's property, and even robbed her.

After the death of the old Chinese medical doctor, the resentment in his heart would not subside. He was planning to take revenge, and it just so happened that Uncle Liu, who was passing by, discovered this matter.

That night, Uncle Liu sprinkled salt on the windowsill and front door of the head of the Red Guards' house. He waited outside the head of the Red Guards' house with an iron weapon in his hand for the whole night.

When this vengeful spirit appeared, Uncle Liu taught this vengeful spirit a lesson with his iron rod. However, what I didn't understand was that Uncle Liu's teleportation ended here.

He didn't say what happened to the ghost after that, nor did he mention what happened to the Red Guards.

"Uncle Liu, why is it gone?" I curiously asked. The first page's story was quite interesting, but suddenly it disappeared. Could it be that Uncle Liu's literacy was limited and he was unable to continue writing?

Oh, you see that old mister. After I found out about his situation, I had him act as a ghost immortal to protect the family. Who told his daughter to be pregnant.

Uncle Liu glanced at the boorish book in my hand. It seemed like he still remembered everything he had done before, but these things were against the rules. In the end, he wasn't able to write anything down in the book.

"I say, don't just treat this like reading a storybook. See how I deal with this ghost." After saying that, Uncle Liu rolled his eyes at me and said.

"Salt and iron, right? This thing was the bane of ghosts? Why didn't I know before? " Hearing Uncle Liu's words, I remembered that he only used two things that could be seen everywhere when dealing with the first ghost.

"Not all of them, only those ghosts who just died would be afraid. In short, all the dirty things I encountered are written on the book, and the way to deal with them is also in the book. If you encounter them in the future, you can flip through them yourself."

Hearing that, Uncle Liu nodded his head, showing that my answer still made him very satisfied. After the noodles were served, he was about to take his leave.

He used his finger to draw a few lines on the surface of the mirror. Then, he chanted an incantation and pushed the mirror back in front of me.

"Uncle Liu, what did you do?" I became even more curious. Maybe this incantation is the one that I want to learn the most.

"Didn't you want to look for the little girl's body and ask you to dig around on the street? I've put a curse on this mirror, if you see that the image in the mirror isn't of you, then this is where the corpse was hidden."

Just as Uncle Liu finished speaking, I was somewhat puzzled. This mirror is just the kind of mirror that I bought by the roadside for five yuan each. Why did it become like a treasure in Uncle Liu's hands?

Looking in the mirror, I was stunned again. The thing reflected in the mirror was no longer me but a patch of barren grass. I estimated that the grass was waist-long and had quite a few old car tires.

"Uncle Liu, take a look at the mirror. Have you found the first body piece?" I carefully asked. I thought to myself that this had happened too fast and that I had planned to rest for two days before returning. I didn't expect it to happen so suddenly.

Uncle Liu heard this and looked at the mirror. He wrinkled his brows but didn't say anything. He nodded his head as if he agreed with my thoughts. The little girl's corpse was indeed buried here.

Since it's now morning, I decided to dig out the corpse and send it to the Qin Forensic Medicine. If not, I would drag it out until night before digging out the body.

After casually slurping down two bowls of noodles, I explained the situation to Uncle Liu. Uncle Liu didn't have the intention of following me.
