C22 Hunting Crisis(9)

Hua Xiangrong lay on the bed in boredom, thinking about many things that had happened during the day. No matter how she tossed and turned, she could not fall asleep.

In the middle of the night, she suddenly heard a few cat-like screams outside. She covered her head with the blanket and tried her best not to listen, but the screams still continued to reach Hua Xiangrong's ears. She could not help but feel a little angry. She turned over and opened the window, planning to drive away the ignorant kitten and see what was going on.

Who knew that just as she opened the window, a black figure would flip into the room. She pulled out the two swords at her waist and was about to stab at the person when a familiar yet unfamiliar voice sounded in her ears, "Miss Hua, it's only been half a day, don't you remember me?"

There was no doubt that Lee Mingde was the only one who could call her that and speak in such an obnoxious tone.

Hua Xiangrong put away the two swords in her hands and carefully sized up the person in front of her. Earlier, she had her back to the light and did not see him clearly. Now, with the help of the moonlight, she could clearly see his appearance.

He was dressed in a dark green robe, and his long and narrow phoenix eyes carried a mocking smile. He had always been like this, and liked to mock others.

Hua Xiangrong looked at him coldly, "Lee Mingde, what are you doing here in the middle of the night?"

"Nothing!"

The fellow sat down at her table and poured a bowl of tea for himself. After carefully tasting it, he slowly said, "Hua Xiangrong, I found the person who caused trouble for you on the hunting grounds."

His words were casual, but it aroused Hua Xiangrong's endless curiosity. Her father meant that he would investigate in secret, but he did not expect Lee Mingde to find out so quickly in just a day.

She thought about what she had encountered on the hunting grounds, and the strange masked expert who seemed to resemble Lee Mingde.

What did those people want to do? What did it have to do with Lee Mingde?

Hua Xiangrong looked carefully at the man in front of her. He was drinking his tea by himself, as if he did not care about Hua Xiangrong's gaze, which made Hua Xiangrong even more confused, but this Lee Mingde did not seem like a person who liked to interfere in other people's business, so why did he care about her business?

The cold wind of the night was blowing hard, and the few lonely leaves on the trees rustled in the wind, like the cries of ghosts chilled by the cold.

Hua Xiangrong felt as if she had lost her mind. For some reason, she actually followed Lee Mingde and ran out like this.

After leaving the house, the courtyard of the Hua family was dark and dark. The door of the Hua family was heavily guarded. After noon, everyone except for the guards on duty had to rest.

Hua Xiangrong had never allowed anyone to keep watch. Banxia and Zhiqiu knew some martial arts, but they only rested next door. They were highly skilled in martial arts, so if they sneaked out, no one would notice.

There was no way out of the door, so he could only climb over the wall. Lee Mingde seemed to have climbed over the wall a lot, he lifted up his robe, tucked the long part around his waist, took two steps back, and looked at the wall in front of him. Before Hua Xiangrong could react, he stepped on half of the wall and steadily climbed up.

The entire action was smooth and natural, causing Hua Xiangrong to be dumbstruck.

On top of the wall, Lee Mingde stood there, looking down at her from above. His voice that was asking for a beating slowly sounded out, "Hua Xiangrong, the dignified daughter of the Hua family, don't tell me you don't even know how to climb over the wall? What a disgrace to your Hua family."
