CHAPTER TWELVE

“No! This isn't going to happen to me right?”. She asked herself as she bit her lip.

"Are you alright?". The producer asked.

"I am just nervous all of a sudden". She lay with her gaze on her fingers which she was playing with.

“They must not find out that I can't read”.

"Mrs. Luca we can't wait for you since the movie will be starting in a week and you know how it's been done". The writer informed.

"Uh!?". She raised her brow.

"Next pers—"

He couldn't even complete his statement when she fell to the ground.

"This is the only way I can seize the embarrassment ". She echoed before falling to the ground with her eyes closed.

"Ivan!"

"Ivan!"

They all rushed up to her as they immediately carried her into the car and drove off.

"What happened to her?". Luca asked angrily as he heard what happened to Ivan.

"Why are you so angry just because she is in danger? Have you started growing feelings for her just like Nora?". Grey asked irritatingly.

"How can I love her? Do you think I will stoop so low to grow feelings for her? I so much despised that crazy lady". He said arranging his file.

"Luca, your eyes already say it all. You are always sad whenever she is not around you, you want her all to yourself that you won't want any man to touch her and might harm for her sake right?". Grey uttered with chuckles.

"You are so crazy like I didn't do any of all those sh!t you listed so let's close the topic and go pay her a visit at the hospital".

"You see what I am saying— you are lying and you are trying so hard to believe and make others believe your lies". Grey teased.

Finding Grey words unbelievably, he half yelled. "I said stop 'cause I need my head calm!"

"Why can't you just wait for her instead of insisting on visiting her in the hospital?". He asked.

"Man, stop disturbing me so that I will be able to concentrate on the file I need to sign ." He shot him a deadly glare.

~~~3 HOURS LATER~~~

“I can't believe I successfully fooled them”. Ivan thought as she gently opened her eyes.

"Ivan, are you awake?". They all asked, staring at her.

Staring at all of them, she asked pretentiously. "Why am I here?"

"You fainted". Andrew uttered.

With amusement, she asked, "Why did you come here?"

"Mrs. Luca, I think you are okay now. Please don't make others worry about that". ignoring her question, he said about to leave but her words made him halt.

"Please don't go, wait a while 'cause I have something to ask about your script". She lied.

"You are not in any place to tell me that". He spat rudely.

"Producer, will you permit me?". She asked.

They all nodded before walking out of her wardroom.

"What did you want? Why did you make me stay when I have something important to do!" He half yelled with his eyes staring at her in disgust.

"I miss you. Yeah I do". She tried to touch his hand but he drifted.

"I am sorry I didn't miss you and am happy you have carried on with your life so let go of every sweet moment of ours and create a new one with your husband". With tears clustered in his eyes and his fist balled, he uttered those insincere words.

Only if she knew how he felt and how he missed her. How he wished never to let go of how and how he wished to feel her warmth— but he had to let go.

"So you did not miss me for the past years? So you have never liked me for the past years? Do you still see me as that friend you pity a lot?". She asked, staring at him with anger burning in her and her chest aching.

"You are right. How can I love a lady like you?— have the question ever crossed your mind?" He asked, holding back the tears in his eyes.

"I know you hate me cause I got married to him but it not w—"

"You owe me no explanation". With that, he stood up about to leave when she held him by the sleeve of his dress.

"Let go of my shirt, Now!" He thundered.

"I will but if I leave this sleeve, I swear I will never return to you and I hope what you just say is the truth cause I really love you but it's okay if it ends here and please act like you did not know me when we are acting". She said about to take off her hand but paused when she felt his hand on hers.

"Wish you all the best". He said and placed her hand gently on her thigh.

"Same goes to you". She uttered as she watched him leave.

"Oh no". She wailed as tiny tears rolled down from his eyes as she watched him walk out of her sight.

"Why must my days be bitter? Why?" With tiny tears from her eyes, she asked no one in particular.

How can she let go of the sweet memories between them? How can she let go of the only person that accepted her for who she is? and the only person who sees her as special.

"I wish I could go back to those days". She cleaned her eyes as she imagined their past moment together.

~~~FLASHBACK~~~

In tears, little Ivan uttered. "I think I should just die".

"Ivan, stop crying cause it hurts me if you do". Andrew said, embracing her into a warm hug.

"Why will you get hurt if I do?" She asked with chuckles as she found it funny.

"Cause I like you". He said bluntly.

Letting out a deep sigh at his confession, she echoed. "But we are too young, I am just fifteen and I can't risk it".

"I will stand by you, hold your hand, play with you, act roles with you, dance with and grow old with you". He replied and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"You can't. Everyone around me ends up getting hurt and I did not want you to get hurt too neither will I be able to overcome the trauma when we break up". She muttered as she took in his hand and cuddled it gently.

"Let's be together, protect each other and stand by each other in times of difficulty". Andrew whispered into her ear.

"Will I be able to? Do you think I won't run away just the same way I run away from the guilt of killing my sister and parents".
