CHAPTER SEVEN

"Nora, please don't do this to me. I beg of you." Ivan pleaded as her trembling leg leaned closer to the wall as her body shivered from the fright that engrossed her.

Cuddling the containers of acid, Nora teased. "Now you can beg? What were you thinking when you snatched the almighty Nora position?".

"I..."

"No need to plead because my mind is already made up". Her lip pouted as chuckles escaped from them while she opened the container.

She raised the container, about to pour the liquid on her when she felt someone grip on her.

Raising her head, her jaw clenched as her lip pouted at the sight of the person who just rescued Ivan.

"Luca?". With her brow raised, she called out staring sternly at him.

The Luca he knows will never save anyone, not even when they were dating has he saved her for once.

Letting go of her hand, he walked up to Ivan who was still shaking on her spot with her eyes closed as her face went wet due to her tears.

"Thank goodness you are okay". He muttered after examining Ivan.

"Luca what the hell are you doing here and why are you touching my sister!?" She asked with a feeling of jealousy in her eyes.

"How dare you touch my woman!" Ignoring her question, his thunderous voice echoed.

"Woman?". She asked, feeling astounded.

"Answer me now!" Ignoring her question, his rage-filled eyes stared at her as his hand made its way to her neck.

"L..." The more she tried to call him, the more intense the pressure exerted on her neck became.

"Nora! I don't want to harm you because of our old time but next time I see you cross the line, I promise— it won't end well with you". He mouthed before he let go of her neck as she choked on her spot.

He walked up to Ivan who had already regained her stability and squatted beside her.

"Are you hurt?" He asked with concern in his eyes.

"Are you the one who saved me?" Ivan ignored his question as she still found it hard to believe the person who so much despised her came to help her.

"I am not here for your talks. Shut up if you can't answer my question". He muttered with his cruel gaze on her body.

"T—" Luca didn't allow her to utter any word before lifting her in his arms.

Nora, who was lucky to still have life in her after the strangling, steals glances at them with her heart getting bitter and aching alongside her clenching teeth.

"What are you doing?". Ivan whispered slowly towards his ear lobe as she tried to get down but his grip on her was just too hard for her to conquer.

"Play along girl 'cause I want to make Nora bite her lip and suck her blood at each gaze she steals on us". He uttered.

It looked like it was all a nightmare to Ivan as she immediately realized her sister who almost damaged her face is still there.

“I think this is the best face–slapping she would receive from me after trying to damage my sexy skin and face”. She thought a creepy smile made its way to her face.

Ivan's smile made her clench her teeth harder as her hard face gave the most bitter facial look filled with hatred.

"Nora I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you that this is my husband". She echoed loudly as she walked out from her present.

"Happy conjugal hell". She commented before storming out of the bathroom.

After walking out of the bathroom, she asked angrily. "Now I can get the hell out of your arm right?"

"Yes". He replied before getting her down roughly.

With her face pale as ever, she asked. "Why did you save me instead of just ignoring the scene like you usually do".

The feeling in her is indescribable as she felt like slapping him for carrying her like a baby or praising him for getting back at her cruel sister and saving her face.

"Why can't you talk? Are you dumb?" She asked after waiting without his answer.

"Cause I want to get back at my ex-girlfriend and our contract marriage hasn't expired right?" He asked warmly.

"I guess you find it fun answering questions with questions but nevertheless__did you know Nora?". She asked because her sister has never introduced anybody like him as her boyfriend.

"Maybe you are deaf when I mentioned she is my ex-girlfriend and what relationship did you both have!?" He asked with a tense of seriousness.

"We are step sisters!" She half yelled.

“Can't believe I am having a thing to do with two sisters. Oh fvck!” he cursed at his thought.

"Ahem... I have to be at the conference meeting in twenty minutes so I have to get going now". She said about to walk through the stairs when he drew her back making her face him.

"Uh!?". Her brow raised as their eyes met at the same level.

"I will also be going there to announce to the public and management personnel that I am now married so we have to make it look real". He said as he took her middle finger and slid the ring into it.

"The game is all mine today". Her lip pouted seductively after receiving the ring but immediately got replaced with a frown as she confirmed the ring in her hand is Diamond.

“Not like I will be with him forever, just a three-month mission”. She thought and brightened her face back.

"Any problem?". Luca asked as he held her hand and took the stairs case.

"Lucian, did you think your stepson is fit to become the president of Lucs group?". One of the major shareholders asked.

"He is not fit at all because he is gay and over 85% of our customers are homophobic and you expect them to still patronize us?".

"Will you let family issues and Will make..."

Murmurs filled the conference hall as everyone was coming up with either positive or negative remarks and conclusions that will all benefit them.

"Is this how badly they hate the LGBTQ society? I wonder why our country is so toxic with the straight gender pep". Ivan whispered into his ear.

"Yeah. My mother used to be Gay but has to hide the fact that she is because of her hard build company". He mouthed before walking into the hall with her hand on his.

They all gasped as they saw Luca walking in with a lady but the gasps were immediately replaced with laughter.

"Why are they laughing?". She asked.

"You— you are the reason for their laughter". Luca said as his eyes rolled at Ivan's torn dress.
