The day of the flight had arrived, and I still couldn't shake the question that had been plaguing me since I first asked her: Why did I choose Maya?

It wasn't logical. My assistant would have been the practical choice-someone who knew the ins and outs of corporate dealings, someone I didn't have to think about beyond a professional capacity. Yet here I was
