C13 Chapter 13.

Everywhere looked quiet as a lot of scandal was going on just in a day. It was rainy heavily and since it was its season, no one was stopping in. Brian walked slowly in the rain while entering the house. He was still in shock and needed an explanation for what was going on, but couldn't find an answer because no one was willing to tell him. He walked towards the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror, he could see keva calling out to him for help, but he couldn't reach out to her. Brian closed his eyes and sat on the ground, resting his head on the wall. He was mute and wasn't willing to speak to anyone yet still have to get justice for keva because from his observation, keva didn't die accidentally.

Lucy walked slowly in the rain as it drenched her, she wasn't willing to leave despite the cold. Her heart pounced with fear, and she was shaking with tears. Alexandra stood at the balcony and found miss Lucy outside the mansion, and she quickly picked an umbrella to bring her inside. When she got to miss Lucy, she covered her in the rain and beckoned on her to get inside but miss Lucy hesitated and fell on her knees.

“It's getting colder, and you might get a fever” Alexandra warned with concern.

“I need help now…no one is responding to me” Lucy said laying down on the wet floor.

“You've got to put yourself together… where's that strong woman?”. Miss Lucy stood up and suddenly pushed Alexandra away, which made her fall to the ground and a grunt escaped her lips.

“Stay away from me because you don't care!” She roared and the thunder struck heavily. Alexandra tried getting up, she picked the umbrella and covered Lucy, who still shoved her aside.

“Let me be!…go away! Don't come closer!” She yelled and Alexandra gasped.

“Really now? To you, I don't care? Right…all these years that I stood by you is countless, the insult and everything, yet you still do not appreciate!” Alexandra yelled back as tears gathered in her eyes yet miss Lucy wasn't concerned, she got her problems to deal with.

“Stop acting like you can do this alone when they are people willing to help”

“Keep quiet! Old…”

“Fool? Hag…or perhaps idiot or better still good for nothing…do you ever think how those words hurt when you call me that?”

“If you prefer not to stay, then go away… I'm better off without you!”

“Stop acting like though you are the only one with difficulties” Alexandra screamed back and miss Lucy scoffed.

“How is that even helping now?”. Alexandra nodded and gazed at the sky as the rain fell on her.

“If you let us help you and work together, maybe things would get…”

“You're not worth it! You belong to the street, so stop trying to play almighty and brave!" Miss Lucy interrupted and ran into the house, leaving Alexandra behind.

“I never knew she got emotions like this…oh, I thought she had that child out of wedlock?” Susan whispered to pa Junior, who nodded in affirmation. Today was really something else, as everyone seems restless. They were seated in the kitchen and waiting for Alexandra since she suddenly left them and here she was now all drenched in the rain.

“Oh woman. Don't you know you're old for this?” Pa junior scolded while Susan hurried to warm some milk for her.

“Miss Lucy needs that” she muttered and walked slowly like a ghost as she looked paled, not willing to say anything.

“Take this first”Susan motioned, stretching the glass of milk to her, and she collected it. Jack rushed into the kitchen with a thick blanket, he was the youngest servant in this house and as an orphan, had sought for a job to sustain him. Jack was always quiet and hardly poke nose into other's affair except if being dragged into it. He wrapped Alexandra with the blanket.

“Were you able to contact Jason?” Alexandra asked sneezing.

“No but it's not time for that now, you've got to clean up” pa junior responded and Susan escorted Alexandra to their room to change.

“I think miss Lucy had a quarrel with her” jack posed innocently.

“And how do you know about that?” Pa junior asked, turning his gaze at Jack who cleared his throat to explain.

“Well I was just taking a walk through the passage downstairs and found them both in the rain, their facial expression depicts anger and sadness at the same time, although I couldn't hear what they were saying because of the rain, but I bet it wasn't good at all” he portrayed and pa Junior smirked at him. Miss Lucy always have a fight with any servants who claims they know best, and he assumed that Alexandra is already used to it.

“Don't worry, she would get pass it” he responded and Jack walked away to get ready to sleep since tomorrow would be a busy with a lot of drama attached with it.

Susan dried Alexandra's wet hair silently even though she was instructed to attend to miss Lucy, she prefers staying here with Alexandra.

“If you don't say anything, how do you expect us not worry?” Susan said, "There's no need to be worried” Alexandra assured collecting the hair dryer vacuum from her.

“My advice to you is that you should stop getting all worked up for someone who doesn't even care for you… Pardon me, it's stupidity I would say” Susan stated sitting on her bed with a grumpy look on her face.

“Why are we here?” Alexandra questioned, giving her a daring look.

“To work and serve miss Lucy” she replied between her teeth.

“So about Jason, where would he have probably gone?”. Seriously, Susan often wondered why Alexandra didn't read criminology or better still become a detective who always pester someone with questions.

"No... maybe he got some work to do" she replied.
