C14 Chapter 14.

The next morning came with more challenges as suddenly, miss Lucy's directors began terminating her appointment, although, that wasn't her concern as finding Julie was her major priority. She woke up that morning to step outside when she felt something smashed on her face. It was rotten cabbage, as she raised her head to see what was going on, a few persons stood outside screaming murder. Her heart raced with fright because these people seemed like though they would devour her. In a haste, she got inside to hide away from them since they were recording her. Miss Lucy switched on the TV to see what was in the news headlines, and she wasn't liking what she saw.

“I'm reporting live from miss Lucy's mansion and there's a lot of agitation after the video that got released this morning… although, she remains unseen yet” the reporter cast holding the mic and telling the camera to view the people at miss Lucy's house. Miss Lucy switched it off in anger as she was contemplating what kind of video that could be. Quickly, she went to her room to get her phone and when she was about to check the internet, a call came in.

“You're needed now!”

“How do you expect me to show up when there's a lot going on outside?” She protests and the being laughed.

“Except if you want to avoid seeing someone alive” it threatened and miss Lucy swing her phone on the ground which made it got smashed. All her spies weren't bringing feedbacks, which pissed her off. How could she detect who was behind all this mess?”

“Felix?” she thought. He was her director and from what the person told her as of yesterday, it was a live show which was going to stream on a popular TV station, and he was the only one yet to terminate her contract. What was he gaining by doing all this? Georgia is another suspect, but she is so afraid of miss Lucy that she doesn't try to do anything to hurt her or else, Georgina would be dead. She needed someone to detect the problem for her, but who was willing to do so? Miss Lucy opened her balcony and look outside below where she could still people yelling angrily, how was she going to pass through them? The back gate. Miss Lucy sneaked towards the back gate, and immediately she stepped out of the house, a girl sighted her and drew the attention of the media, before miss Lucy's eyes, she was flooded by people asking her various questions.

“Back off!” Jason ordered. He had arrived that morning to work and realized that miss Lucy was crowded by people. She was frightened and just stood in shock being tossed side by side. Jason was able to quell the crowd alongside some bodyguards. He glanced at her and gestured if she was fine, but she didn't reply, rather she walked away and then came back to collect her car keys. Jason watched her drive away and as he was about to mutter a word, someone dragged inside. Jason groaned at what was happening before him, he was tied to a chair in the kitchen and being watched by scorching eyes of three predators. How was he going to escape this when their scorching eyes pricked at him as though about to devour him.

“If you guys would be silent like this, then let me go in peace” he petitions, rolling his eyes.

“Be quiet, or I slab your head with this pan” Susan threatened pointing the pan at him.

“Now boy, I would ask you this question for the last time…”

“But…you haven't asked me anything…”

“Shut up!” The three retorts, and he folded his lips together, waiting for the bomb to drop.

“As I was saying, I would ask…”

“Why did you get ice-cream for Julie when she's allergic to it” Alexandra interjected, tired of waiting for pa Junior to mutter the words because it was going to take like forever for him to go straight to the point, that's if he doesn't repeat his statement.

“What are you saying?” Jason replied astonished.

“Sincerely… you're a suspect and you better speak up or end up dead”

“Let me guess you're going to grill me pa junior?” Jason suggested, and they all groaned at him.

“How could you do this to such a poor and adorable girl? What did she ever do to you?” Susan snapped, almost hitting him with the frying pan, but Alexandra had to stop her on time.

“Speak up now!”

“I can't believe you guys don't trust me… I mean, Julie is a part of our lives…”

“Go straight to the point!” The three chorused again.

“Julie took pinky with her, and you know how that dog likes something sweet”

“So what you're trying to pose is that you left her in the car to get an ice-cream cream for pinky” Alexandra pointed out trying to ease the tension in her.

“I don't believe what he says…what if his trying to confuse us?” Susan protested.

“No he's not lying” pa Junior defended untying Jason while Alexandra studied him. Was Julie truly with pinky and with Jason's facial expression, he seemed unsecured and scared.

“Where did miss Lucy go?” Alexandra asked.

“I don't know, but I believe she received a phone call…” Jason paused as the three beings stared at him. How did he know she received a phone call when he was just arriving before she left?

“I met her outside”

“And where were you throughout last night when we were searching for Julie?” Pa Junior beckoned and he swallowed hard.

“Miss Lucy sent me to arrange some spy for her, I shouldn't be saying this, but I think it's all a game”

“We know… everyone is calling her a murderer because of Clara's death and her burial would be up soon then what?” Alexandra rapped.

“Are going to lose our jobs when things turn bad?” Pa junior questioned as they all gasped and sighed at the same time.

“She needs us now” Jason suggested, looking sober.

“Yeah that's true let's help in any way we can” Susan added.

“Don't waste your time…” Alexandra muttered and left them alone.

“I think she's right” Susan affirmed, and the two men shook their head. Everyone was just right to Susan.
