C6 Chapter 6.

Julie stood on the stairs waiting for her mother, who hasn't returned for the day yet. Last night, she had a nightmare which she wishes to share with her, that's if she even has time for Julie. The weather was a little cozy due to the rain fall that fell earlier that day. Susan came to meet Julie upstairs, still pestering her to come along with her even after the child's rejections on the request. Susan had worries written on her face but couldn't express it to the child. Julie studied her and found her suspicious. Miss Lucy has often told Julie to be careful about people pestering her to do what she doesn't want to do. Although, miss Lucy usually doesn't have time for Julie but at night, she advises her about things of life which typically shocks Julie, but the child always knew those words were coming out of her because she was drunk.

"Do you want to kidnap me?" She asked bluntly, and Susan narrowed her brows at the child.

"Why in the world would you think so?"

"Because my mother is a celebrity" she snapped, running to her room while Susan followed suit. Alexandra was in the kitchen when she heard Julie's footsteps approaching her. Julie paced towards the kitchen instead of her room on sighting Alexandra. The child wrapped her arms around the old lady's waist inform of a huge and buried her head on her stomach preventing Alexandra from doing anything. Susan panted hard just because of the little run she ran. It was a large mansion and Julie's room was on the third floor and since Julie was running through the stairs, she had to do the same. One wouldn't blame Susan because she was plump and hardly exercise. She opened Julie's room, but she wasn't there and decided to check the kitchen because she recalled Alexandra was trying to make dinner when she passed by. Susan got to the kitchen and found Alexandra curdling Julie in her arms, she heaved a sigh and drew closer to them.

"Julie?" She called, but Julie didn't reply her. Alexandra glanced at Susan and shook her head.

"Were you able to reach miss Lucy?" Alexandra asked as Julie raised her head to meet Alexandra's eyes.

"Is anything wrong?" Julie questioned with probing eyes.

"No, dear… could you excuse us for a moment?" Alexandra requested and Julie nodded walking out but actually, she hid aside the kitchen's wall to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"How sure are you that you heard rightly?" Alexandra asked, perplexed as she folded her hands to hear Susan side of the story.

"She's not safe here… Could remember early this morning? When the doorbell rang?"

"Yes?"

"I stood up to see who it was…but rather I found a gift box at the door step with the inscription"to miss Lucy" and I couldn't get it to her because she had already gone out to her fashion home…" She paused, trying to get her breath while Alexandra went to the fridge to get her some juice.

"Ride on…" Alexandra stated rinsing a glass cup at the sink.

"I know it's wrong to read someone's message, but I was eager to see what was inside this beautiful present because it was enticing…"

"Go straight to the point Susan and stop telling me tales" she snapped, giving her the cup and fruit juice to serve herself. Julie was shivering at what these women were saying.

"It wrote, Julie's next" she blotted out, pouring the juice in the cup to drink. Julie gasped where she stood, and it was loud that the women heard it. Alexandra quickly rushed outside but didn't find Julie.

"Who was that?" Susan muffled with a mouthful of fruit juice.

"Perhaps Julie? Because it seemed that a tender gasp"

"What are we going to do?" Susan pressed on.

"Maybe it's just a trick…you know how fans can be…stop meddling in our boss's affair! She knows how to handle such" Alexandra queries, as Susan became numb.

"But…"

"Just shhh! You must have frightened that child now" Alexandra pointed out.

"I'm sorry" Susan apologized and walked away, not forgetting her fruit juice behind. Nobody believes her in this house anytime she says something because she often plays prank here rather than face her work and stop troubling others.

Julie breathed really hard, everything was looking scary to her, it was just like her dream, but it was her mother who was in danger not her. She quickly picked her phone which laid on the bed to call miss Lucy, but the line was switched off. She had so much confidence that her mother could solve anything. The line wasn't reachable and she swings the phone back to the bed. Nothing was going to happen, she kept pondering on that words as long as she was inside the house besides, Alexandra always told her she was too young to think about anything.

"Miss Julie could open up now? My knockles are weak from knocking" Alexandra wailed after countless banging on Julie's door and no reply. Julie hissed and tottered to the door, why was everyone disturbing her privacy?.

"Why the grumpy face" Alexandra asked immediately she stepped in.

"That's because I wanted to be alone!" She retorts like a little boss. Alexandra chuckled and patted Julie's shoulder.

"I never knew you had your own privacy"

"What do you want?" She snapped sitting on her puffy bed.

"Guess someone was eavedropping..."

"Yes I was" she affirmed sadly.

"I know you will tell me it was bad but it concerns me" she defended pulling her teddy bear that sat beside her.

"Forget about what Susan says... it's certainly one of her pranks again"

"But this time around she was serious..."

"Stop worrying about such you're..."

"Too young to be thinking about such" Julie complete rolling her eyeballs in frustration as she flung herself on the bed lazily.

"Why should you be scared when you have your hero here?" Alexandra beckoned raising her Shoulder high while Julie giggled.
