C7 Chapter 7.

Miss Lucy cart walked into the mansion, it was a scary day for her yet, she got it all under control, all thanks to the attorney. Glancing through the house, she was expecting to see Julie perhaps on the balcony as usual staring at her, but she wasn't there.

"Today must really be a bad day" she thought and paced to her room looking all worked up. It was a good thing her business was progress and gaining high recognitions internationally, but with the hope that nothing goes wrong.

"Julie!" She called, gazing at a package she held in her hand.

"Yes?" She replied from her room, and miss Lucy smirked.

"Thought you went hiding" she beckoned with pride.

"Children, so full of themselves" miss Lucy furthered when she heard Julie's running footsteps. Julie stood on the last stairs and stared at miss Lucy.

"I got a little something for you" she beckoned and Julie scoffed silently. Her mother must be in a happy mood for gifting her a present because that's what happens when she wins a contract.

"Hope I'm safe though" she mellowed gesticulating and when Julie was about to climb down from the last step, she fell hard to the ground and miss Julie rushed to assist her while calling on a maid.

"You should have been more careful" miss Lucy scolded, which annoyed Julie. Was that a way to console someone.

"I'm so sorry sweetie" Alexandra wailed, running towards her.

"I was expecting someone to say that" she said bluntly, wincing.

"Really…do you have to say that? Why don't you say it directly to me?" Miss Lucy retorts, letting go of Julie's hand.

"Here is your gift which you requested for!" She continued and left to her room while Julie watched her until she got no sight of her

"Oh dear you're bleeding…let me call the doctor" Alexandra lamented.

"There's no need to exaggerate… it's just a scratch" Julie assured as Alexandra smiled.

"Aren't you just a brave young lady?"

"There's nothing brave about me" she responded sadly trying to stand up, but Alexandra carried her in her arms

"Always remember, bravery is all about believing in yourself" she advised and Julie smiled.

"Aren't you just the perfect mother!" Julie complimented, giving Alexandra so much joy inside.

"How's Louis?" Julie suddenly asked.

"Thanks for your constant prayers, he's recovering" she replied, carrying Julie to her room.

"It's going to be my birthday in two days, I hope he makes it" Julie beckoned and Alexandra nodded.

It was indeed a hectic day for someone like miss Lucy, even though she had let tried to forget what happened a little while ago, the thoughts kept coming back. She just hopes everything dies down eventually, especially now that she would be having conferences ahead of her new movie. Tomorrow's conference was going to be more like a premier. She was still possible pondering in thought when her eyes met a gift wrap laying on her drawer. She hissed and glanced at it.

"How many times do I have to warn all these servants to stop receiving gifts from fans? Argh…so annoying" she muttered as she took it from there and was about to throw it down the window facing the garden when it burst open and a letter flew out from inside laying on her feet. In annoyance, she picked it up and saw the inscription which says;

"Julie's next" she smirked without taking the warning serious. Whosoever was doing this had failed because Julie was covered, and it might be certainly one of the fans who were trying to prank her perhaps. She tore the letter and threw it down the window and immediately, the power went off. Miss Lucy gasped in fear, she was all bold just few seconds and now fear had lurked in. She ran to her door to open it, but it was locked, banging hard and yelling for help but no one came, then she realized that it was locked from inside by her and miss Lucy opened the door, she quickly ran towards Julie's room. What enabled her see in the dark was the ray of moonlight that shone through the large windows around the corridors. She knocked on Julie door but noticed it was opened and dashed in.

"Julie?" She called softly but no reply. Why was there power shortage and where was everyone. She switched on the light on her phone to see if Julie was there,, but she was nowhere in this room. Miss Lucy tried hard to fight her tears, but it followed down slowly.

"Calm down" she consoled, and the lights came on. On noticing this, she ran to the balcony downstairs where she guessed Julie could be and there she was holding on to the pillar in fear and miss Lucy suddenly hugged her.

"Don't ever do that again!" She scolded while Julie looked confused and just then Jeffrey ran towards them, he was in charge of the electricity in the house.

"What went wrong!?"she barked at him as he shuddered.

"I couldn't detect the problem".

"Then what's your function here?" She retorts and julie was stattled as her mother still curdled her in the arms. She raised her head shyly and smiled with relief. Julie had never seen her mother so worried over her and right now, she was loving this moment.

"What were you doing out here this late?" Miss Lucy turned her questions to Julie.

"I was just praying before the lights went off"

"Why couldn't you just do that in your room? She wailed as Julie blinked at her.

"You know I always come here at night" Julie replied with fear in her tone. Jeffrey swallowed hard, he just hope that miss Lucy discharges him. Miss lucy heaved a sigh and stared at Julie.

"You're coming with me for tomorrow's tour" she concluded ordering Jeffrey to take her to the room. Julie couldn't say a word because she was more than surprised by those words her mother stated, mis Lucy has never taken her out together with Julie. This was a miracle to Julie.
