But then I heard heavy knocks on the door and went to open it. Nate stood there bare-chested, in his sweatpants. His eyes went over my shoulder, before he said:

“I need to use the bathroom.”

And he entered the bathroom, before slamming the door behind him.

I assumed he wanted me to sleep in the guestroom, but I was too confused and awake to fall asleep
