I got into the car and put my seatbelt on. He started the car and drove in silence down deserted roads. He didn’t even stop at the red lights because there were literally no cars around. I looked at the clock to see that it was past midnight.

He turned on the radio and I threw his green coat in the backseat because it was too hot in the car-and it wasn’t just the air conditioning
