C18 Xiaobao Was Gone!
Mo Shuiyun, supported by two Warriors, slowly came to.
"What's happening?"
She surveyed the scene; the once vibrant and celebratory Mo family hall was now in shambles.
It felt as though the recent events were merely a dream.
Yet, Shen Qinghuang's presence nearby served as a constant reminder that it was all too real.
"Where is Commander Lau? I need to see Commander Lau!"
"You can't treat me like this. I'm going to be your commander's wife!"
In front of the armored vehicle, Mo Shuiyun, still restrained by the Warriors, protested vehemently.
"Cut the act. You'll be a commander's wife in your next life, maybe!"
With a swift motion, the Warriors knocked her unconscious and bundled her into the vehicle.
"Great Commander, what should we do with Zheng Han?"
Lau Feng glanced at Zheng Han, who remained kneeling on the ground, a disappointment to his lineage.
Yet, the Zheng family had sacrificed for Dragon Country for at least five generations.
"Let the Zheng family come to me directly if they want him back."
The Zheng family's contributions were significant, but past merits don't erase current faults.
If everyone acted recklessly on the coattails of their ancestors, society would crumble.
"Additionally, seize the Mo family's assets and allocate two hundred million to the families of the seventeen girls."
At that moment, Yun Zheng's communication device buzzed to life.
"Adjutant Yun, the young master has disappeared..."
The voice on the other end relayed the incident, fraught with panic.
Apparently, Xiaobao woke up to find Shen Qinghuang gone.
He had wanted to find his mother and took the opportunity to slip away to Moon Hugging Mountain Manor's children's park while the manor's staff were distracted.
"Useless fools! Go find him now!"
Yun Zheng was enraged. He regretted not staying behind to help keep watch.
Beside him, Shen Qinghuang's frown deepened. Xiaobao was missing?
"Notify all Phoenix Dynasty members to search the city!"
"Great Commander, the War Department is ready to assist fully!"
Lau Feng quickly stepped forward to make his position clear. He could still clearly recall the downfall of the Shen family.
If anyone dared to cross Xiaobao again, the thought of the consequences was too daunting to entertain!
But where could he be?
The name of the Shen family flashed through her mind. Xiaobao had spent four years at the Shen family's Secret Base; it was the only place he knew.
"Yun Zheng, come with me to the Shen family!"
They boarded an armored vehicle and sped off toward the Shen family's location.
...
Meanwhile, in the most opulent district of Ling City, at the heart of the White Horse Villa Region, stood a villa as grand as a royal palace.
"Master, if you can't contain it, take it out on me!" Zhuo Heng's eyes betrayed his distress.
Across from him, Lu Xiuhan, clad in a bespoke black suit, fought back the violent impulse, his lips quivering as he uttered three words: "Get out!"
Zhuo Heng hesitated, clearly concerned.
But faced with Lu Xiuhan's icy stare, he cautiously backed away.
He could tell that Lu Xiuhan was at his breaking point.
And Lu Xiuhan detested being seen by others during his episodes.
"Ugh!"
Now alone, Lu Xiuhan was drenched in sweat that poured from his forehead.
He grabbed whatever was at hand and began smashing things around him. Slowly, the sweat blurred his features and drenched his clothes.
Half an hour later, Zhuo Heng's voice came from outside:
"Patriarch, Divine Doctor Bai is ready for us. Shall we head there now?"
With a creak, the door opened, and Lu Xiuhan, donning a black trench coat, emerged.
"Let's go."
His voice was rich and resonant, and his chiseled features betrayed no hint of his inner turmoil.
Zhuo Heng glanced back at the chaos in the room, unsurprised by the disarray.
"Someone clean this up!"
Lu Xiuhan, radiating an intense chill, strode out of the villa.
Zhuo Heng, seeing this, quickly jogged to keep up.
Their Patriarch's condition was worsening—from once a month to now every seven days.
Nowadays, the episodes occur once every three days.
Had it not been for the accident four years ago, the Patriarch might not have been compelled to seek medical help far and wide.
