Fearing that Shen Qinghuang might vanish, he sprang up, flung his arms open, and enveloped her in a tight embrace.

"Mommy, Xiaobao missed you so much. Grandpa and grandma told me that you died giving birth to me," he said.

"They said that the person you cared about the most was your great-grandfather and that if Xiaobao was willing to use his own blood to sustain him, you would be overjoyed, even in another world."

"Mommy, please, don't ever leave Xiaobao again, okay?"

With each word, Xiaobao's voice grew softer and his sense of injustice deeper.
