C48 Showing Some Strength

"Are you prepared to go inside the academy, Remdall?" Rem's father asked after they are done marking his slave by the slave contract.

"Yes, father." Rem simply replied.

"Good, then which department will you be choosing. The Warrior or the Mage department?" His father asked curiously.

The Academy has two departments which has different branches each. For example, when one takes on the Warrior department he will then choose which branch he'll be studying on like the Sword branch, Blade branch, Staff branch, and so on. While the Mage department has branches that are based on the elements.

"I plan to take the Warrior department with the Sword branch, father." Rem replied.

"Your my first child that plans to take on that department. Are you sure about your choice? Everyone can be a warrior but not anybody can be a mage that's why mages are more valued by the empire." Rem's father said.

"I want to take the Warrior department since I've already learned on how to use spells, father." Rem said while showing his father three basic ice spells which are the ice ball, ice arrow, and ice needles.

"What the- !?"
