Rem noticed that each of the 3rd rank monsters have skills that are good in increasing one's individual strength but in the end, Rem wanted to have a pet monster that can have a role that solely supports him.

Rem was already strong enough to fight a 7th Rank evenly so having a 3rd Rank monster won't make a big difference.

So made sure to read books that each explains the skills of the Rank 1 to 3 monsters in the 3 small dungeons. After he finished reading all the books pertaining those monsters, he choose the Shifter Slime.

The Shifter Slime was a weak and rare monster but Rem still choose this monster to make a soul contract with. The reason for this is because of the skill it has which was the Shape Shift skill.

It was a skill that enables it to shape shift into anything that it has devoured. Rem was thinking of making the Shifter Slime to devour weapons, and armors. When it does this, Rem wouldn't need to think about what weapon and armor he needs.

The other good news of this monster is that it can make the armor or weapon as stronger, harder, and sharper as it's Rank.

If Rem can make the Shifter Slime into a 10th Rank monster then made it shape shift into an armor then he'll have another layer of defense that has an 10th rank hardness and endurance.

The only downside of this monster is that it is extremely hard to raise it's rank. This monster is a bit unique compared to the other monsters because it was 5 times slower to rank up.

But Rem wasn't worried about that disadvantage because he has the Share Cultivating and Experience Function.

With these, Rem has made his clone in the university to get ready to dungeon dive. Rem didn't even need to catch one since he'll only need to see one for him to create one in the Pocket Dimension. But Rem will still try to catch one to save him from using Spirit Stones.
