C77 Second Pet

Rem contemplated, and eventually choose the Cursed Shadow. He chosen this because the Cursed Shadow can hide in his shadow while the other two can't. Also, he wasn't worried about his defense because he already has White which can make an armor for him so he didn't need the Haunted Shield monster for the time being. While the Wind Butterfly was strong supporter, it can only help him within a short time frame, and then it'll be a burden in the battle afterwards because of it's weak body.

In the end, he can only choose the Cursed Shadow because of those reasons. Rem then gave the task of catching it to his clone in the academy.

The Cursed Shadow was hard to catch because it was always hiding in other monster's shadow. The clone's only choice is to kill every monsters it sees until it finds one.

With that, Rem closed the book he was reading and went outside of the Pocket Dimension. He then walked towards his bed, and took a short nap with White giving him a massage.

While Rem was resting, his clone in the academy was asking Alexis and Jelly to join him in going to one of the small dungeons in the academy.

"So, will you join me?" Rem's clone asked. Rem asked the two of them because students needed to enter a dungeon by threes or they'll not be allowed to enter.

"Of course, Remdall. This time, we'll be able to capture the monster you want unlike last time but we have to be more careful since we're catching a 3rd Rank monster." Jelly replied.

"Count me in, buddy!" Alexis replied.

"Thanks guys." Rem's clone shyly said while scratching it's head.

"No problem, buddy. Let's go and ask for teacher Patricia's permission." Alexis said, and then went towards Patricia's office.

Soon after, they arrived at Patricia's office door. Rem knocked on the door, and said.

"Aunt Pat, it's Rem, Alexis, and Jelly. Can we come in?"

"Come in, brats." Patricia said.

Rem, Alexis, and Jelly went inside, and gave a respectful bow to Patricia who was sitting behind a desk. Patricia was doing some paperworks that are for Rem's class.

"So, why are you three here?" Patricia asked while writing on some papers.

"We want to ask permission on going inside a small dungeon, Aunt Pat." Rem answered.

"Okay, here take this permission slip." Patricia said, and passed a letter to Rem.

"Thank you, Aunt Pat. I'll treat you to lunch when you have time hehehehe." Rem said to which Patricia smiled at, and nodded.

"Good! Don't forget your free treat or else I'm going to hunt you down! You three go out now because I'm extremely busy." Patricia said.

The three of them respectfully bowed, and left the room.

"Will go to the dungeon tommorow since it's weekends by then. Let's meet up at the dungeon's gate." Rem said to the two of them when they got out.

"What dungeon are we going to again, Rem?" Alexis asked.

"It's the Haunted Cemetery, Remdall already told the monster that we are hunting so it's obvious which dungeon we're going to. You should start reading books, Alexis." Jelly said while scolding Alexis.

The Haunted Cemetery is one of the three small dungeons that the academy has. The dungeon has many monsters that uses the dark element, and they are extremely violent compare to the other monsters. Last time, they went inside the dungeon called Docile Forest which was where Rem catched White. It's called Docile Forest because the monsters inside are docile, and will rarely attack anyone.

"Reading books just gives me headaches so no thanks." Alexis replied.

The three then walked around the campus the whole day while talking about the things they needed to prepare inside the dungeon.

Days passed, and Rem has already made a soul contract with the Cursed Shadow. He called it Black, and it was currently hiding in his shadow. Rem also passed every skill he has to the monster so it was comparable to a 5th Rank monster even though it was only a 3rd Rank monster.

Currently, Rem was playing games again while Black fed him with cookies by using it's shadow hands. White was also beside Rem which was also playing a game in it's cellphone. It was peaceful, and many will be envious of Rem's life if they saw this scene.

While Rem was resting, his clone going to the elves' homeland has already arrived there. It was now inside one of the cities of the elves where both humans, and elves live. This city was called Liferose City which was suited between the human's territory and the elf's territory.

The houses in this city was built on trees, and the trees has red roses growing on it. The whole city is full of trees, roses, and animals that makes the city look beautiful. Rem's clone can feel the fresh air, and animals are happily playing around the city.

Rem planned to establish an influence in this city, and then eventually to the whole elves but that will be hard to achieve. Also, Rem has no idea how he can do that.

With that, Rem's clone surveyed the city to find a way. An hour after, the clone found it's answer.

The answer was to join the Mercenary Guild. The Mercenary Guild was created because the elves has a low population unlike the other races. So the elves made a guild where they can get help from the other races. In the guild, he can take up some jobs, and he'll be awarded after he completed the job. The jobs consist of many different works like building houses, attacking the enemy races, hunting monsters, and so on.

Rem plans to take every type of jobs except for those that consist of attacking other races. He knew and understood that all the different races in this world has no sin with the war, and instead it was the Gods who started this hate and slaughter. Rem chosen to stay out of the war as long as he can but he knew he'll eventually be swept away with it.

But to join the Mercenary Guild, one needs to have a team of 5 and above. Rem doesn't have a problem with this requirement because he has slaves who can join in.

Rem's clone then went out of the city, and started to find a secluded place where he can take his slaves out of the Pocket Dimension.
