C12 12

Arthur had thought he'd be able to stay away from his mate for at least few days or perhaps the rest of the day but he was wrong, he couldn't even stay from her for some few more hours of the night.

He was restless, worried, bothered, he couldn't help the massive emotions and thoughts which swelled up in him and the next thing he knew was him already in his wolf form, racing towards the direction of his mate's home.

Traveling in this form was way easier and faster and soon, he stood in their yard.

He didn't know where her room was located but from his instinct, he let her scent lead him to a window half the size of a regular window.

In there, the lights were turned on illuminating the room and everything in it, but the only thing this wolf focused on was the girl sitting by the side of her bed.

She had a book in her hand and seemed to be so engrossed in it until she looked up, a slight frown on her face.

He wondered what was wrong as she placed the book down and began walking towards the window.

Arthur knew she was human and couldn't feel or sense his presence so why was she approaching the window, nevertheless, that didn't bother him as she now stood right in front of it, her hands going up as though wanting to close the window but then she halted, her eyes seem to be looking into the dark when they landed on him.

She was looking at him but at same time, it looked like she was trying to decipher what she was seeing and once she did, her eyes widened, he saw fright in them, or was it shock.

She was right in front of him now and her strained scent tortured his senses, he desperately wished to hold her, feel the warmth of her embrace as he cuddled her in his arms but when he moved closer, she quickly slid the glass of the window down, drawing the curtains hastily and making it impossible for him to see her any longer.

A snort was heard from him as his wolf searched for its mate and when it couldn't see her, it became aggressive.

Arthur knew that was his animal like instinct taking over and he struggled to control it gradually being able to calm it.

He was the logical human part of his wolf, without him, his beastly instinct would make him do things it only felt it wanted which included forcefully breaking through this window and marking its mate at all cost.

He imagined doing that to her, forcefully, it would definitely leave a painful scar, she would be horrified for life, she would hate him and reject him, quickly, Arthur blocked those thoughts away, he would never.

I want my mate, he could hear the voice inside his head growl wanting to force its control to the surface and exert its command.

Stop, she'll hate us, it felt like two beings in one as he replied and his beast growled deeply causing him slight pain.

He needed to get out of here before he did something stupid, he'd regret.

I WANT MY MATE

Slipping into her clothes, Amelia got herself ready after taking a warm bath.

Standing in front of her little cute dresser, she raved her hand into her silky long hair, packing it into a loose pony.

Sliding a small pin to keep it in place, her eyes sharply brushed past the window and instantly, her mind referred back to last night.

She had tried to convince herself that what she had seen was perhaps her eyes playing tricks on her or maybe a stray dog wandered into their yard although its size didn't resemble that of any dog she'd ever seen, she tried to make her mind believe it but the familiarity she felt of having seen it somewhere struck her like a sharp bolt of lightning.

That wasn't a dog and she was certain, she had seen what a wolf looked like and her previous encounters with those deadly wolves she had seen while at that estate was proof that she had indeed seen a wolf in their yard.

Why, she didn't know but she was more than terrified, although when she tried looking again, it was gone.

Taking her purse, she walked towards the living room, their father loved spending his time at their small plant garden.

She went there telling him of where she would be going, and then to Josh, who was waiting for her so they would both go to the city's central hospital to visit their mother.

Walking through the ward hall, Amelia made her way out of the hospital hours after noon, her mom was still in a coma and according to her report, would remain so for a couple more days.

According to Josh, both him and their father had been eating ordered take outs through the week so Amelia made sure to leave on time so she could cook them a homemade meal.

On her way out of the hospital, she felt an odd feeling which made her uncomfortable, turning around, she frowned when she saw no one, there was no one following her, then why did she feel so.

Using her eyes, she scanned the quiet hall before walking away.

Getting to the front of the hospital, yet again, she felt same thing as before but this time when she turned around, she saw someone, a man, he was standing at a distance but his eyes were on her. He was dressed in all black, also putting on a black hat.

Amelia froze when he began to approach her but composed herself quickly.

Perhaps she was just feeling uneasy for no reason, she convinced herself but with every step he took closer, she felt oddly unsettled.

"Can I help you?" She asked when he stood in front of her but he remained silent. She frowned when he wouldn't say a word but just kept staring at her, his eyes carried a look of curiosity and a small frown between his brows but then an emotion crossed his eyes, was it fear? Amelia had no time to analyze further cause in the next second, he dashed off while carrying a look of fright in his eyes.

What was that all about, she frowned, probably some psycho.

Lavien moved with heist. Quickly he fled from the hospital when he sensed HIM. He knew if he didn't leave here soon, he'd soon be dead but unfortunately, he didn't move fast enough as the nightmare now stood in front of him.

"Hello," he greeted Lavien, a charming smile on his lips as the wind blew his white hair over his face, so lightly making him the beautiful devil he was.

Quickly, Lavien tried to teleport himself from here before he met his doom but couldn't, he couldn't leave and he knew just why.

"Trying to leave?"

"Please." Lavien pleaded.

"I won't go after her, I promise." He begged, his eyes looking horrified.

"I know." The man clicked his tongue

"But I also know the urge to do that will come very soon." He took a step closer.

"Sooner than you think,"

"No please," Lavien tried using his powers but this man had numbed it also and now he was paralyzed, unable to move a single muscle. The man placed a finger on his forehead and instantly, Lavien felt a pull from the inside of his body, like his insides were being crushed and his blood being drained.

"Please" was the last word which left his lips before his body reduced into a flare of dust, not a single drop of blood as he ceased to exist.

Dusting both hands, he looked at the now empty spot where the young lad had stood with a sigh.

"She's attracting them faster than I thought." He brushed strands of his white hair which the wind had blew away from his face.

"Poor little girl, looks like history's about to repeat itself."
