YOU'RE A LIAR!

××××××××××××

No!

No no no no no no!

His heartbeat accelerated with every step he took towards the car she was in.

He followed her. He was going to take her back, no, not when she made such progress, she wouldn't let him.

Quickly, she unlocked the door, bolting out, she ran off quickly but screamed almost immediately two wolves came to stand in front of her, both a dark shade of brown.

What was it with wolves around everywhere she went. Halting, her feet took small steps back and just when she turned around to run, she bumped into someone who immediately caught her in his arms. His masculine scent wafted into her nostrils.

Her head shot up at him, the lack of light made it impossible to know what expression he had on but before she could think any further, she felt herself being lifted as he carried her.

"Let me go! let go!" She struggled, flinging her legs rapidly but this seemed to have little to zero impact on Arthur as he kept walking.

Amelia noticed people had started gathering, possibly because of the road block caused.

"Help! Help me, please," she yelled thinking they would help but instead

"Isn't that Arthur?" A voice from the crowd asked.

"Arthur Jackson?" Another reckoned.

"Arthur!"

"Arthur Jackson!"

"Arthur"

Soon, a scene was created where different people from the crowd seemed to recognize him and some trying to get clouts, bringing out their phones for photos.

Few men dressed in black seemed to be keeping the crowd away

Arthur Jackson?

The name rang a bell for Amelia but she barely pondered over it, she saw the ginger haired man, George opens the door and she was shoved in, immediately, she tried to go out the other end but realized the door was locked. Quickly, she turned to the other but Arthur had already sat beside her, shutting the door closed.

"Let me go!" She smacked at his shoulder but one look from him was enough to make her shiver and she stilled.

Now they were in the car, she could see his face, he looked angrier than the last time.

"Drive!" Even his voice was scary, she shivered.

Soon, they got to the manor, the place she had struggled so hard to get away from. They drove into the house and this time, Amelia obediently walked on her own. The house wasn't filled with men as last time, the light illuminated the large parlor, giving it a subdue fell.

Her steps halted once they came to the stairs and she just kept staring up, what if she just tried her luck and ran off now. No, those wolves, those guards and this man, she wouldn't stand a chance.

Before she could think further, she felt him hold her hand but she swatted it away.

His eyes which were yet to soften down stared at her briefly before he bent, lifting her to his shoulder.

"Let me go!" She struggled throwing her legs every which way but this had little effect on Arthur who walked up the stairs rather like he wasn't holding anything of weight.

Getting to the elevator, abruptly, he dropped her when she bit on his neck, although not painful to him, he hadn't expected her to do such so he dropped her abruptly, thankfully she didn't fall.

"You're a liar!" She flared at once

"You never intended to let me go! You knew the exit wasn't anywhere near and sent me on a tail chase," she ranted.

Arthur just watched her rant on with a slight frown.

She was right about his intentions of not letting her go, although, he hadn't expected she would find a way to leave and once he found out she wasn't near again cause the bond was a miss, he checked the estate footages and the moment he saw that imbecile taking her away, his teeth gritted in anger and quickly in a snap, he was on his way to bring her back.

She was yet to stop ranting angrily when he took a step closer to her and instinctively, she moved way, he didn't like this.

He moved closer trapping her between the elevator wall and himself, slowly, his hand made it to her cheek, grazing lightly against the soft skin, the sensation was soothing and her intrusive scent which he had grown to love was addicting, his eyes closed on their own accord as he let himself enjoy the bliss of her touch when he felt her hand hit his, swatting it away from her face.

He opened his eyes with a low growl as he disliked what she did but at the end, could only sigh. This mate if his would give him a headache for sure.

In front of an elegant looking woman who was comfortably sit on a plush sofa, her long hair falling lightly against her shoulder bouncing off softly as she moved her attention to the two men standing in front of her.

"What did you find?" She asked with an obedient accent.

"Two damned souls by the east boarders"

"What?" A slight frown contoured her face

"Are you sure?" She asked wanting them to be certain and when one nodded, her frown deepened.

Those creatures were not to be awoken or even in existence only at the appearance of a certain someone, if damned souls were found lurking around, then that could only mean one thing.

He found her.

"Arthur, I didn't know you never wished for her to be let out." Freddie who was currently made to kneel before Arthur spoke.

"You didn't know?" Came a deadly tone from Arthur, his claws slowly seeping out through his hand.

"Arthur please." Freddie pleaded when he saw Arthur turn partially to his beast form.

"I didn't know," he hurried to say but Arthur wasn't having it.

Not having a choice, quickly, Freddie shifted to his beast form, he knew it was a foolish act to challenge an Alpha as he wouldn't stand a chance but he did. Arthur's gaze hardened as he stared at the brown wolf in front of him, its teeth baring at him with a growl.

The sound of bones snapping was heard as Arthur fully shifted as well. A wolf, three times as big as the brown one stood tall, its ebony black fur giving foil to its bloody red eyes with strong power emitting from him.

Freddie didn't wait to be attacked as he knew he wouldn't stand a chance so he attacked first getting a chance to scratch a wound at the black wolf's face.

STOP! Arthur's thundering voice echoed in the heads of his Beta as well as two other Lycans who had shifted to their beast coming to intervene but he stopped them.

He didn't need their help, he would take care of this fool himself.

A venomous growl came from the black wolf who charged at the brown wolf, scratching its face to have blood seep through a bruise. The brown wolf tried attack but Arthur easily avoided his attack, clawing at the brown wolf's stomach to have it let out a whine in pain.

Not giving a second more, he lunched at the brown wolf sending him flying a few feet away until it collided to the wall, a hollow formed as evidence of how hard the brown wolf hit the wall.

It was completely injured and having little to no strength to even lift its weight, but once it saw the black wolf lunching towards it, it tried moving away but wasn't fast enough and this earned him another scratch to the hind of its leg, the brown wolf whimpered pitifully as blood tainted its soft fur, it could barely get up now but Arthur wasn't letting him off that easy, he was about clawing at the brown wolf's face when another wolf intervened.

Who dared.

He would claw their limps out, but Arthur halted instead as this wasn't any shifter, she was a female, a she-wolf, he couldn't attack her, he never stooped so low to fight a woman but the problem was, she was right in between him and this brown wolf.

MOVE! He ordered with his ALPHA voice and watched the pain which contoured the wolf's face as it winced.

Even Noah as well as the other two shifters present grimaced slightly in pain at the command, the ALPHA'S voice was what made one an Alpha, not any shifter could just be made one and it carried authority for any Lycan of that pack to obey and submit.

I will not let you hurt him! The female wolf whose fur was a multiple color of brown and ginger mind linked. She was Freya, Freddie's mate and wife.

A piercing silence rang through the large parlor for a while but soon, the snapping of bones was heard as the black Wolf lost all its fur, a man crouched on his hands and knees slowly stood up, a deep frown between his brows as he stared at both wolves, one of which was tainted with its own blood.

Without a word, he turned around and walked away. The tension in the room slightly reducing as everyone present breathed in relief.
