C9 9

Today would make it approximately a week since Amelia had been brought here without any advances on her being let off.

It was another morning of her waking up and either just staring into space or just ignoring Arthur whenever he came to her which he hadn't done as of two days now. Only that Ginger-haired man, George, he seemed carefree and easy going as far as what she had deducted could grasp.

Today, she stood by the window's edge, as she had been doing every day lately, staring out. She observed the surreal sight of the garden. She remembered the first time she had entered into that garden, it was even more beautiful inside, than it was from afar.

The flowers were breeds of different kinds and others which she couldn't recognize, the cool breeze and quiet environment, she found herself wanting to go there again and so she left this suffocating room but regretted her decision immediately she got down to the parlor.

The sight of so many men huddled in one place made her heart leap in a beat. She didn't expect to see anyone down here as the last times she had been here, it was usually empty. Her steps halted and she sort to take a quick back turn when she heard.

"Who are you?"

___________

___________

Leo was still talking to the rest of the men present here about the weeks agenda since he was in charge of assigning everyone's task in what they would need to do.

He was the head of this pack whenever their Alpha as well as both his Beta and Gamma were absent.

He paused mid-way in his sentence when he caught a peculiar scent. He frowned knowing someone had just entered the room cause their scent was different from the men here.

"Who are you?" He asked making every shifter's attention turn to the woman who was currently standing at the third step of the stairs.

______

______

Seeing the eyes of so many men on her, Amelia stilled, her heart racing in its rib cage. She seriously regretted coming out of her room, she should've just stayed and kept admiring the garden from afar. She watched as they keened their eyes on her, one with brown hair moved forward, he was the one who had asked who she was, his eyes which had a scar looked at her with scrutiny but then he frowned.

"You're a human" he said with disgust in his voice.

Amelia frowned at his words

Human?

Well of course she wasn't an animal now was she, they were all humans, she thought but what concerned her was the way he stared at her. Was it with bore or disgust.

She couldn't tell.

"What are you doing here?"

You tell me,

Amelia wanted to say but held her tongue.

"I saw Alpha, Arthur brings her in the other day," one man from behind spoke

"She's probably a sl*t,"

"I am not a sl*t," Amelia replied almost immediately with a frown, irritated at the fact of what these men thought her to be.

"Then who are you?" Leo asked, his eyes still looking at her with scrutiny.

Their Alpha wasn't someone who would take interest in humans even though he wished to fulfill his manly desires. They hated those weaklings.

"She's your Luna," A voice from the side pulled their attention to the man who was just approaching, two braids by the side of his white hair which made his alluring face even more desirable to the eyes.

"If you have any questions, you can ask your Alpha once he returns" he added noticing how Leo as well as the other shifter's expression turned into a confused one. Sour too.

Turning his attention to the woman still standing by the stairs.

"Good morning, Amelia," he smiled warmly.

Amelia was still trying to grasp the meaning of what he just said to those men so when he faced her, she was slightly caught off guard. She gave a slight nod as response to his greeting.

"Would you mind joining me for tea?" He asked since he noticed she had just come out.

"Uhm, I-I was actually going to the garden," she said unsure whether she even wanted to go anymore but then the man said.

"Ah, then we shall have tea in the garden then," The way he spoke made her confused slightly, he spoke in a more refined or rather historically polished manner, it sounded weird to her.

"Ann!" He called and an elderly woman walked into the parlor.

A woman lived here as well? She was probably here to serve, Amelia guessed.

"Please serve some of your delicious Cinnamon Cameron Tea, the type that keeps one as young and beautiful as yourself," he smiled broadly at the woman, a charming smile which got her smiling as well.

He sure knew his way with words, Amelia took notice.

____________

____________

"It seems you're becoming comfortable with your stay here" Oliver began once both him and Amelia were sitting under a stationed canopy in the quietly cool environment of the garden.

Amelia was silent as she placed her tea cup down. Comfortable with her stay. She scoffed. Did she have a choice, that man wouldn't let her go if she wanted to, what could she do.

He probably didn't know that was why he said she was becoming comfortable. Oliver frowned as he watched the girl's expression turn dull.

What was she thinking.

"Do you know why Arthur's taken you?" He asked and watched the girl's expression turn curious.

"Why? What does he want from me?" She was eager to know now as her interest pulled through but Oliver only sighed tiredly.

That lazy man, still hadn't said a word to her about who she was to him. Hmm, guess he would have to do it for him.

"Amelia," he called calmly, dropping his cup down

"Have you ever heard of the term 'Mate'?"

HOW TO SOOTH A WOMAN'S HEART

In the presence of about 15 board members, Arthur sat, his attention not on any of them but on the phone in his hand as he typed out the words.

HOW TO SOOTH A WOMAN'S HEART

Knowing how ridiculous he'd look like going to ask help on such a thing from his Beta or any other person, he sort the internet, the safest, accurate and most private way possible.

Never in his life would he have imagined himself searching up something as ridiculous as this but here he was.

Well, he had never imagined wanting someone to warm him up as much as he wanted his mate, but here he was, and he didn't care, he could imagine himself doing anything to please her, as long as she wouldn't reject him.

Flowers

The first suggestion from his search popped up

Chocolate

A slight frown contoured Arthur's face.

Chocolate? He hated such sweet things, but maybe his mate would like it, she was human after all wasn't she?

He imagined giving this to her. She would smile at him, hold his hand and tell him she loved it. He would run his hand through her soft hair and tell her he loved her more, she'd smile Shyly and..

"Arthur"

He could almost hear her voice Calling unto him.

"Mr. Arthur?"

He frowned, why was she calling him that.

Alpha

Arthur immediately snapped out when he heard his Beta call through mind link.

He looked up at the men who were no longer talking but staring at him.

He frowned.

"We'd like your consent on the overture"

"Approved," he said in a heartbeat confusing everyone who was sitting as Jeffrey, the man who just gave a summary of the proposal thought he'd have to present some more convincing reasons before Arthur would agree but who would have thought it'd be this easy. He guessed today was his Lucky day as he smiled triumphantly, looking at the others who had opposed his proposal.

Alpha, are you sure? Noah asked but instead, Arthur just got up without a word, walking out and automatically, the meeting was ended.

Two rogues were found said to have crossed our borders, Noah began as they walked through the hall

What would you like to be done to them?

What pack are they from? He needed to know if they could be of importance or not. Arthur had lots of enemies and knowing any of their weaknesses was a crucial point for him as an alpha.

The blue moon pack, a slight hesitant tone crossed Noah as he spoke and subsequently, Arthur stopped, his eyes hardening.

Kill them

The blue moon pack were his top on the list of enemies, he had no reason to keep them alive if they dared to enter his territory.

Are you sure Alpha? We could gain some valuable information from them.

I said kill them. He ordered using his ALPHA tone which forced Noah into submission.

He knew the man was making sense but his hate for the blue moon pack was worse than his logic at the moment.

And while you're at it, buy some chocolates. He said while walking away only to leave his Beta with a confused frown.

Chocolates?
