It’s main Alpha character is also a direct copy of another Alpha Xavier in another story I gave up on. The underlying idea of the story was good and interesting, but the execution is the worst I’ve read so far, and I have only stuck with it because it’s marked “completed”.
I’m struggling to read it at the moment it’s so bad. The main character in the book Bella, is no longer a character I can stand, in fact I dislike her intensely. I do not see her as a heroine or lead in this book. She is written so poorly its hard to have any empathy for her.
The original crime of being “cheated” on has lost it’s dramatic effect, and my main opinion on it is “get over it for Gods sake”. She has the information to bring everyone down who wronged her, but stays silent and lies consistently, keeping a son from his birthright. She is no better than her horrific mother-in-law and family.
The only good part is that we get a detailed POV for Apha Xavier. We know his heart, his growth, his determination to never give up on her despite how poorly she treats him, all through it. He is the wronged party on all sides. One mistake in trying to determine if Bella loves him at all, cost him dearly. I’m at the point where I’m hoping evil mother-in-law or evil step mother kill her and Xavier gets his son and takes revenge on them all.
Grammar is less than basic. It hovers between victorian style converstations and modern. With a few pages of what appears to be Scottish accent. Chapter after Chapter of rambling nonsense that does not move the story forward or give the characters growth. It’s an absolute mess, where female characters are referred to as Him/He and vice versa, or the characters are mixed up. I refuse to believe the author is a human, unless they are 10. It is definitely AI driven.
