CHAPTER TWO: THERE’S ANOTHER WITCH?

NIGHT WALKER’S PALACE, THE REALM OF WEREWOLVES.

I was in my room, checking out some outfits on social media. Once my eyes caught the ones I like, I make it appear in my room. Then, the maids will pack it into my closet. I feel super excited today. Do you know why? I bet you don’t.

I was still on it when the King mind-linked with me. I gasped and cleared my throat. Then, I asked; " Thought it’s still in the evening or do you want us to go now? " It was silent at first before the King spoke; " That’s not why I mind-linked. I think your attention is needed at the infirmary. " On hearing that, my heart sunk and I had to fold my fist into tight balls in order to control myself.

I nodded as if he can see me and cut the link before vanishing. Those people are always ruining my happy moment. I’ve had plans with the King today. We were supposed to go hunting today in the evening but what happened? Those imbecile wolves got themselves stranded.

I’m sure I and the King won’t be going hunting anymore and this is the only chance I’ve got. The King is a busy person, travelling west and south, North and East for meetings. His presence is important at every meeting because he’s the Alphas King of The Realm of Werewolves.

You guys might be wondering who I am. Well! I think it’s time for introduction. I am Cheyenne. The only witch existing in the realm of werewolves. When the infirmary executive can’t handle a case because it’s hard, they call on me just like today.

Aside that, I am capable and I possess every living and dead powers. My beauty is compared to none. You don’t need to ask; I won't tell you the secret behind it.

On appearing at the infirmary, all wolves present there had their head bow. Well, they have to. I am the only female that can be seen with the King and moreover, I’m his best friend. The healer led me to the room and I met Loki and Lexi, the royal head of maids’ daughters. Woah! Who in the world is brave enough to turn them into this. They were even in their wolf form? It seems that person doesn’t know who they are dealing with. Even I am always scared of their mother.

This is an easy peassy for me because their joints were just broken. So, I have to just lay my hands on them and boom! They are okay. That’s part of the power I possess.

I cast some spells with my second hand and used my other hand to touch Lexi's wolf. It flinched and it kind of affects me. The dark smoke coming from the spell I was casting vanished. What? What’s going on? How come my powers are not working.

I took a deep breath, calming myself down. Maybe, it’s happening because I’m not cool. Then, I gave it another try, hoping it does not let me down but it did. I began sweating madly, not knowing where that is coming from. I looked up at where the air cons are stationed and it was on. So, what does this mean?

Okay! This time, I’m going to give it my all. Then, I started my voice loud as I cast the spell, the smoke started coming out, bigger than the first and second one. I kept on casting the spell until I lay my hands on Lexi again. I felt stuff but didn’t stop, I noticed Lexi body moving but I couldn’t see anything. Why? What’s going on? Why am I not seeing anything?

Then, I heard a howling sound, I’m certain its coming from the two wolves. My joy knew no bound on noticing that my powers were working. Then, I started feeling stuffed, suffocated and choked. I coughed loudly and on perceiving the air, I smell something like smoke.

My eyes widen as I started coughing unstoppably. The smoke was heavy and dark like the smoke my hands used to produce when I’m casting a spell. I tried controlling and holding my breath but it kept suffocating me. I didn’t know what happened next because I just fell on the ground and passed out.

It was already late in the afternoon and we are all gathered in our small sitting room, having lunch. Then, I felt a tingling sensation in me making me laugh out. I felt awkward that instant and slowly look up. All eyes were already on me.

I smile widely at them and Sierra asked; " Were you having fun with Raff while eating? " I scoffed loudly and Raff yelled; " Tell her to have some respect for me. " I groaned loudly and my mom rapidly got on her feet.

" Are you okay? " She asked, worriedly. I nodded once and returned back to eating. Raff interrupted again; " Ain’t you worried about what’s going on? " She asked, and that made me start wondering what’s up. I feel weird like someone is pissing me off.

" Yeah.. What’s going on? " I asked, hoping she already found out. The truth is she always know what’s up with me even before I start feeling it.

" The twins back in the woods. " She mumbled and my eyes widen as my spoon dropped from my hand. Then, I exclaimed loudly; " Oh, right! The twins! "

" What twins? Which twins? " Sierra asked, staring at me and before my mom and dad could join, I vanished and landed in the woods and there was no one there. That was close.

I can’t believe myself. I should have cured them in advance. What was I doing? I advanced towards the tree I threw them at and broke the bark with my eyes. Then, arranged it back with a snap of my fingers.

I exhaled and made to leave when an idea popped into my head. Then, I mumbled to Raff; " Why don’t we train here? " Raff hummed and that only means she wants me to explain myself better.

" I mean… You should teach me how to use my powers. All the powers I have and I’m yet to possess, teach me how to use it here and now. " I explained and she hummed once.

" Where will I appear? " She asked, and I snapped my fingers. A mirror appeared and almost immediately, she appeared there. Then, the training started.

Is it hell or heaven? Wait! I think I’m smelling roasted beef. Why I’m I caged? Wait! I’m I dead? My eyes widen at the thought of it. There’s no way I can die, no, I can’t. I shouldn’t die! How will I have Phoenix to myself. I want him for myself, no one must have him.

Brute will be happy to see me die and I wouldn’t be able to wear all my expensive dresses. Gawd!!! Wait! What I’m I even doing here in hell? I should be in heaven enjoying myself right now.

" My lady? " Wait! I think I’m hearing my maid's voice. Is she in hell too? Wait! Did she follow me here? Woah.. So, she love me this much? Oh, my lawd, I’m emotional. Then, her voice came up again, this time, it was clearer; " My lady? You should open your eyes now. You’re okay. " What is she saying? Ain’t we supposed to be in hell?

If she said I should open my eyes, then, I should do it. At that thought, I tried it. Boom! I really opened my eyes. Yeah! I’m still alive. I quickly sat on the bed and start sniffling around.

" My lady, what are you doing? " Zara, the head of my maids asked and I faced her. I’m smelling something like a roasted beef. So, I decided to ask her where the smell is coming from; " What’s smelling like this? " I asked and she tried sniffling before asking; " Like what? "

" Like roasted beef. " She raised her finger slowly and when I saw where it landed on, I hoped and prayed that it shouldn’t be true. Then, I looked at the direction only to see my hands.

" No way! No!! it can’t be!!! " I screamed as my eyes widen at the sight of my burnt hands.

THE KING’S OFFICE

The King and I were busy working on the pack's report when a guard came in; " Greetings to his majesty. The general head maid is here to see you. " The King faced me and I shrugged shaking my head.

" Let her in! " The King’s deadly, yet, addicting voice ordered and the guard nodded with a bow before leaving. Just a quick introduction of myself. I am Brute, also called Knight by my special people. Talking about my special people, I only have three and they are the King, Alan and Jasper. We’ve been friends since we were young.

Jasper is the youngest among us, he’s our younger brother. I am with the King right now because I’m his Beta. Among all his four friends, I’m the closest to him. You might be wondering who the fourth person is, ion want to say this but ion have a choice. She’s Cheyenne.

The door opened again and the general head maid came in. she went on her knees immediately, stunning the King and I. what could the problem be?

" I am sorry to interrupt you, my King but I want justice for my twins. They went to serve today like usual and an omega brought them back home incomplete. " She proclaimed, amidst tears. I almost laugh loudly on hearing what she just said. How can an omega overpower an Alpha? Isn’t that unreasonable?

" I don’t understand what you just announced. Like, I’m speechless. How come an Omega overpowered your daughters? " Exactly what I’m trying to understand. It’s like the King was reading my mind. Wait! Are we mind-linked?

" Yeah! And stop disturbing, will you? " Adolf replied. Adolf is the King’s wolf. He’s kind of hot-tempered so, don’t mind him.

" Yeah, my twins and the guards present there said she’s kind of powerful. " I’m still not believing that. There’s no way an omega will be powerful that she’ll be able to overpower an alpha.

" Bring in your twins and a testifier. " The King ordered, through mind-link. I heaved a sigh and continued working on the report before the testifiers were finally brought in.

" Greetings, your majesty. " The trios greeted, with their head bow and as usual, the King nodded once in reply.

" So, what is the story all about? " The King asked, and the guard bowed in significance that he’s going to talk first.

" I’m sorry to say this but I don’t remember the girls face but…" The King had to cut in on hearing the part he wasn’t expecting. I would say what we weren’t expecting.

" Did you say girl? " The King asked, in bewilderment. He had to look at the twins before looking at the guards who talked.

" A girl overpowered you both? Wow! I must reward the girl. An omega to be precise. So… What you’re saying right now is that she got you mad and when you want to attack her, she overpowered you guys and broke your bones? " They trio looked up in astonishment. How can the King summarize the whole story like that without even hearing the full story? Incredible right?

" Can you guys explain what she looks like so that Knight can draw her portrait. " They went mute and the head maid looked up at them.

" If you have no response, get out of my office. " Even with the King’s deadly voice, it still sound serene, so serene that one could sense the coldness from it and the coldness from it is the danger it brings.

" I’m really sorry your highness but we don’t know how it happens, we can’t just remember her face. Not even her voice. " The King and I looked up at once, not believing our ears.

We thought this was a joke but it really wasn’t. This is my first time in decade hearing this. We made sure to find if there’s another witch in the whole of Realm of Werewolves but there was none except from Cheyenne. How come this is happening?

" Did you guys see her face? " I had to ask to be sure and they nodded in response. They saw her face but couldn’t remember it. I was about to ask the King to call on Cheyenne when she appeared in the office. Then, the King asked; " What’s going on? " She shook her head before rumbling; " I really don’t understand. "

The King rested on his seat, the chair twirling around, due to his weight on it.

" I couldn’t heal them, too. "

" You didn’t heal them? " All eyes fell on her immediately she blurted that out and she nodded slowly before raising her palm up. It’s burnt. I would have laugh if it’s on normal day but I couldn’t because it’s a serious matter we’re handling.

" I’ve been trying to heal it but my power’s not working on it. " She added and that got the King totally. He hit the chair and it twirl away.

" So, briefly, this means there’s another witch? "
