C5 CHAPTER 5

My arrival to the light Moon pack was met with respect, so far everything has been running smoothly. The pack member were bubbly , everyone was having a good time but I think my presence got all of them on their toes.

If a person laughs in my presence,just a stare from me shut them up.

Moon goddess was I this intimidating.

Carl , my wolf has been wagging his tail and pacing all over my head ever since I stepped a foot into this pack

He has never done something like this before.

I looked around searching for Theo with my eyes,

Where was he. I needed to ask him if the unusual movement of my wolf was normal but I didn't see him.

Isn't he supposed to be close to me.

The meeting with the Alphas didn't go well, the Alpha of Star pack was denounced , his Beta was proclaimed as the new Alpha and carefully warned to take care of the pack to avoid the same fate

Alpha Troost didn't take it well though, he wrecked havoc and issued threat to me

"I will make sure you pay for this" he said pointing directly at me.

I have never been this disrespected. I stared at him passively.

"Alpha king my foot, I will ruin you" he stormed out leaving me with the last word.

The same fate met with two other Alpha king but they took it more calmly than Troost.

After that I headed straight to the room . On my way there my wolf purred inside me again when I passed a door.

I was directed to a room that was prepared for me. It was exaggeratingly decorated, "was there any need for this" I thought out loud.

Few moments later , Theo knock at my door telling me it was time to get ready for the party

.He dropped some fresh clothes on my bed

As Theo had suggested, I didn't wear a cloak this time. I felt uncomfortable at first , feeling insecure even though I try to mask it well but I got used to it after some time.

"We leave at dawn" I proclaimed and Theo nodded and left

I took a refreshing bath and got dressed,I combed my hair backwards and wore my shoe, I didn't really care about my look though

I hope Theo fulfill his end of the promise by keeping me in a secluded area far from other people.

Carl danced in my head again.

What was wrong with the wolf,his unexpected excitement baffles me.

Theo showed me to the party hall,it seems he has gotten himself acquainted to the place, he was acting like he already knew the nook and cranny of the place, he tapped someone on the shoulder and they exchanged pleasantries.

When I entered the party hall, it became silent, only the soft music was playing in the background, and girls were ogling around, trying to get my attention.

I saw Theo at the extreme close to the Alpha Gerald sit, he was standing alone obviously surveying the are before he blend in.

When he saw me, he rushed forward and bowed a little ushering me to a grand seat at the middle of the hall.

"What are you doing? This isn't secluded at all" I argued already getting irritated

"Am sorry my Lord but everywhere in this hall is occupied, this is the perfect seat I could get you"

I folded my hand tightly fighting the urge to punch something,I sat down reluctantly when I noticed everyone in the party was still staring.

My foul mood didn't let me tell Theo about my wolf anymore I just glared at anyone looking my way, not interested in any conversation.

"Coming here was a bad idea"I said under my breath when a family tried to invade my space intentionally putting their daughter in my face.

Suddenly a loud gasp erupted in the hall, interrupting my thoughts, I looked up wondering what the cause was.

Silence had already settled itself in our midst.

It was obviously because of the two ladies who had just entered. I saw the one with the baby bump outside she was among the people that welcomed me in.

But the second one......

Her face doesn't look like anything I have seen before, I looked her up real good, her dress was nice, but her back was turned to me like she was searching for something.

Suddenly my wolf started jumping, increasingly trying to see clearly through my eyes. I was hit with an intoxicating scent, it smelt like vanilla.

I stood up feeling more excited than I wanted to be, I didn't know the cause of the excitement.

What's wrong with me I asked myself internally …

My eyes connected to the dark green eyes that had just appeared in the party, she stopped at her track.

Her friend was whispering something to her ears but she wasn't paying attention, our eyes locked on each other.

"Mate" Carl shouted inside me, he was jumping this time.

A loud growl escaped from my chest, suddenly I noticed the music had stopped and I was advancing towards her. Another animalistic growl came from me.

Am sure it was Carl's doing.

“Let's go to mate please”

Calm down Carl.

She stood there staring at me as I came closer, she was lost in her own world,her mouth agape.

"Mate" the word came out from her
