Ashley's POV

“Isa, I'll be right back” she looked at me uncertainly

“Are you sure? I don't trust him” I couldn't blame her, even I wouldn't trust him.

“He's right here, you know” he scorned. I was internally screaming for him to shut up while Aurum was being all giddy.

“I'll be fine, meet you after school?” she looked at him one more time before nodding

“Sure, at the car park” she left. I turned to face him, he grabbed my hand and headed to an empty classroom, once we were in the safety of the classroom, I turned to him.

“Let's get straight to the point. There has to be some mistake, I can't be mated to you” I whispered the last part, we supernaturals all have super sensitive ears and I couldn't risk anyone knowing he is my mate. I'm not ashamed of it, but I'm supposed to hate him and…. Damn, this is annoying, stupid mate bond

“The mate bond isn't stupid, you're just mad you don't have a reason to hate him besides he's a wolf which isn't exactly a reason” Why did she have to be right

“I'm always right” I flipped her off

“It's reciprocal. I don't think there's any mistake, I'd know my mate when I see her, but I can't reject you, I need my wolf, and you need your demon, but I also can't accept you” Okay, that stung.

“So what now?” I tilted my head to the side. He started at me for a second before replying.

“I don't know but what I do know is that I can't be seen with you less mated to you” those words weren't supposed to hurt but bloody hell, it hurts like f*ck. He shook his head like he was trying to shake away some thoughts.

“Why would mate not want us” She was broken and hurt and nobody hurts my demon. I was furious at him that I almost lunged at him. Keyword Almost.

“Ash, don't. We'll just make him regret it, one way or the other. You can't kill him, and even if you did, it would hurt us even more” Yeah, I know. I can't freaking kill of my mate because of that stupid mate bond, but you can't hurt a demon and go free, especially my demon.

“This will be fun” I grinned

“Fine with me” I turned and left, still grinning, he's never going to know what hit him

ALESSIO'S POV

“It's reciprocal. I don't think there's any mistake. She had a look of hurt on her face, but it was gone just as soon as it came.

“What are you doing?” Rover growled, but I ignored him.

“So what now?” She tilted her head to the side. Why did she have to look cute? F*ck I need to get my head straight, stupid mate, stupid mate bond.

“Our mate isn't stupid, and the mate bond is beautiful. You're just mad you want to hate her but can't” he gave me a wolfish grin.

F*cking hormonal horny dog just had to be right

“You are so going to take that back, and the word is thank you, which by the way, you are welcome” he rolled his eyes at me. I ignored him again.

“I don't know, but what I do know is that I can't be seen with you less mated to you” I really didn't mean it, but I wanted to. As long as I hurt her, she wouldn't want to ever be with me and eventually, she'll hate me enough to reject me. The last thought did hurt a little.

Shaking my head to get rid of my thoughts, I looked at her and trust me, if looks could kill, I would have been six feet under a long time ago. The look on her face was enough to make me think about visiting my grandpa in his grave, but it went just as soon as it came, and then she was grinning. Why in the world would she grin? What was I missing out here?

“Fine by me” Then she left, swaying her hips as she went. What the hell just happened? Isn't she supposed to be hurt and mad? What the f**k is going on?

The question kept swirling in my head and by the time she was out of the door, Rover was seething

“What the f**k is wrong with you?” he gritted out. “Why would you even say that? Now, they'll think we don't want them”

“Relax would you. I said it because it's the truth, I don't want her and neither can I be seen close to her. It would ruin my reputation.” If anything, my little speech made him even more furious.

“If they reject us, I'll make sure you regret it for the rest of your life”

“Quit being such a baby, we'll get a second chance mate”

“The moon goddess rarely gives a second chance mate, why would she even give us a second chance mate if you can't accept your first mate just because she's a demon” and with that, he raised the mind block, leaving me to my thoughts once more. Great, my wolf was giving me the silent treatment because of a stupid f**king demon

I got out a little after she did and walked to my class. Even though I'm late, I'll be spared as I'm the future alpha.

I walked down to my seat and settled down when Brittany, the pack's slut, sat next to me, though she was pretty, she didn't have anything in comparison to her. Where my mate had wavy chestnut brown hair, she had straight blonde one's and where she wore clothes which exposed more skin than necessary, my mate wore clothes that showed skin but not much. And besides Brittany has nothing on......

F**k, I don't even know my mate's name

“Hey, Ales, do you mind coming over today, my parents are away” She rubbed her hand over my leg while smiling seductively and batting her eyes

“I'll think about it” I replied, not interested

“You can stay all night” she tried again. Why can't she take a hint?

I glared at her while getting her hand of me, “I said, I'll think about it and if you disturb me again. I won't hesitate to kill you” I growled lowly, using my alpha tone.

She swallowed while nodding, “Yes, alpha” and didn't disturb me for the rest of the class.

The bell rang, signaling the end of school for the day. I got up and left before anybody else. I got to the car park where my car was when I heard giggling and laughter and then the smell of roses overwhelmed me. I hid my scent, so she wouldn't sense me and hid in my car.

I looked towards are direction and saw her running away from some older guy while laughing

“I'm so going to kick you Ash” Ash so that's her name but ash what? Ashton, Ashlyn, Ashby......

“You two are so cute together” a guy standing close to Isla commented after the older one caught Ash and was tickling her while she tried hard to get out of his grip.

What. The. F*ck. It should be us two. Me and my mate, not whoever that f*cking guy is.

“Stop...... please...... I give...... up..... just let me go” she stated in between her laughs. Why did she have to be so cute and beautiful?

“Say please daddy, wait, that sounds kinky, say uncle” That almost made me growl. I gripped the steering wheel tightly. Who the hell does he think he is, having his hands all over my mate and telling her to call him uncle.

“But at least he didn't make her call him daddy” Rover chipped in. He sounded calm, but the angry waves flowing from him said another thing.

“Nice to see you again, buddy”

“Don't make me regret showing up” he gritted out

“Absolutely not” my mate replied, and I cheered internally

“So now you're gonna cheer” I didn't say anything but looked out the window to see the older guy hugging Ash, and she was letting him

Freaking slut, she has a mate, and yet, she still whores around with older guys. Then I remembered Brittany, if she intends to whore around, I can just do the same.

I dialed her number. She picked up immediately.

“Hey, Alessio”

“I'm coming over” and I hanged up.

“Don't you f*cking do it” Rover gritted, “How are you so sure she's sleeping around?” he asked

“You just saw her hugging someone who wasn't us” I said

“Well that would have been us if you had just accepted her immediately you saw her” I ignored him and looked out to see them both entering a car.
