C3 Finding her true self

{Akira's pov}

I and Ava kept chanting the holy words of the seven stones. We all felt connected as there was this surge of energy and power like electricity flowing through our veins.

Only if Hazel could connect to the spirit realm and find her true self, but the fact we all had to face was that Hazel was too scattered to concentrate.

Her mind is not focused on the task at hand, she loses her focus over minor things.

"The maiden, the mother, the crown."

"The maiden, the mother, the crown."

As we kept chanting, suddenly Hazel began muttering to herself with gritted teeth's and a clenched fist. Her normal blue and green eyes began glowing as she was shaking uncontrollably.

I and Ava moved closer to her, trying to grasp whatever it is she was saying, bye we couldn't hear a thing. Her voice was as low as a pin drop in silence.

"Ahh!!" We both heard Hazel scream as she fell off the portal.

"Hazel!!! Are you Okay." Ava screamed as she plunged forward to Hazel's side.

Hazel has failed to connect to the spirit realm and find her true destiny, she has failed to find her true identity which makes things more worse. If only we knew this would happen, Ava would not have brought her here. She's in more danger now because once she leaves the seven stones, it won't be hard for the Mantis Army and Witches to track her down and capture her. And if that be the case, she needs more protection than ever.

It was an unbreakable rule in the seven stones that only one protector should be assigned to one vessel, but there are times when even unbreakable rules can be bent. Hazel has a rare and special gift and therefore needed all protection she could get.

"Mother!!! I heard Ava scream jogging me out of my pool of thoughts, "she's not waking up."

The fright on Ava's face was visible, and it made me stop for a second to wonder why Ava who was fearless become easily frightened by a girl who merely fell and is not waking up.

What the fvck, am I thinking, Ava was her protector and so whatever happened to Hazel, she was definitely going to bear the blame.

"Ava, dear, calm down, she's going to be fine, she needs closure." I said as I gave Ava a reassuring smile.

Ava stood up as she crossed her arms and glared at me with a furrowed brow as if she was demanding an explanation.

"Ava!!! She has used up her spirit energy, you don't expect her to be jumping around right. She needs to rest get some strength. Now, leave and go make yourself useful." I instructed with my authority as the mother of the seven stones.

"Yes mother." Ava curtsied and left the room.

{Tayla's Pov}

"How is the girl doing, is she dead yet?." I asked expectantly.

"No ma'am." Camille answered.

"What? What do you mean by NO?" I could feel the anger popping up in my veins.

"Ma'am........." She was trying to explain before I interrupted.

"None of the word. I want her dead in less than three hours time. Do you understand?." I commanded

"Yes ma'am." She answered as a loyal servant trying to prove herself worthy again

"Good!."

Aunt is going to be so proud of me when she returns. And I wonder where Flint has been. He has been skipping classes and now I think of it, Hazel has not been in school too.

I wanted to believe that it was a coincidence but there's no such thing as coincidence. Coincidence is an excuse and means of escape weak people use when reality hits them in the face. I looked up to find Camille still staring at me. I actually did forget to excuse her.

"Umm cammile, before you leave, there's something I'd like you to do for me."

"Ok...."

"I want you to get informations on why Flint has been skipping classes and also do the same for Hazel."

"Ok ma'am." She said as she turned to leave.

"Cammile, this stays between us, this should be our own little secret."

"Yes ma'am." She said as she left the room.

{Hazel's Pov}

The last thing I could recall was when Akira said "Focus Hazel, listen to the sound of the trees breathing along with you as you feel rooted in this moment."

And so I listened, and then it felt like my spirit was lifted, I felt strong and powerful and then I saw a little girl who looked exactly like me.

~~~~~Past~~~~~

I was playing in the junkyard when I stumbled over a box. It was so beautiful and looked delicate and special, definitely this box wasn't supposed to be in the junkyard. I thought of calling mum but I knew mum has warned me never to come to the junkyard, so I decided to check it out myself, just when I was about opening it, I heard mum's voice calling.

"Hazel!!!!" I quickly used a few junk materials to hide the box and then moved out to answer mum.

"Hazel!!! Where the hell is this girl!!

Hazel!!" She screamed. I could hear mum approaching furiously.

"Mother!!" I answered appearing out of the junkyard.

"Where have you been Hazel, oh, I see, in the junkyard again. When will you learn to Listen to me Hazel."

"But mum......." I tried saying but she cut me off.

"None of it, you're grounded, now get inside and wash up. You stink my dear." She said and knowing who mum is. I obeyed.

~~~~IN THE EVENING~~~~

Mum was out of the house, so I guess it's time I unveil my hidden treasure. I walked into dad's junkyard and removed the stuffs I used in hiding my treasure. As I tried opening the box, I saw a very cute bird sitting on the window blind and so I left the box and went after the bird.
