C5 "Elodie, what do you want from me?."

{Alpha Xanders pov}

I stood at the balcony of my house relaxing after the days work. I felt really tired as I had a pack to rule or let's say control and also a job to handle.

It was beginning to get windy out here and I was really feeling exhausted, so the next remedy I could think if was retiring to bed.

I went inside the room to catch some sleep when my eyes caught glimpse of an image resting on my side table. That image. The image of my wife, Serena, and my two daughters, Emily and Hazel.

What the fvck was this picture doing here. I thought I had hid this picture frame in the basement. As I was thinking of how this picture got here, memories started flooding in.

Memories of that dreadful night. The night I had lost my family. The fire, the blood, the Bones, the shrill cries if my kids calling out to me for rescue, the scent of blood all over.

This memories I had tried so hard not to remember. I started feeling numb suddenly, and I had to shake off this feeling. I immediately took the picture and locked it up in my side drawer, I had a lot of things on my mind.

Suddenly, my mind drifted to Hazel, she has been comatosed for days now. I had taken her to the hospital when Charlotte reported to me that Hazel slumped.

I had tried to make everyone believe that I hated my own daughter, but with time, it acme to my knowledge that It wasn't a make believe story, this was real. I actually hated her. The fact that I'm the Alpha and she's not even a wolf is a threat to my life and that of my pack. If not that I trusted Elodie, I might have been forced to believe that Hazel wasn't my daughter.

Due to lot of thinking, my head was already spinning hundred miles a minute, I had to stop thinking. Suddenly my head began to heat up, I ran to my bathtub and allowed the water to flow down my face.

When I calmed down, I got out of the bathroom and when I stepped into my room, I saw Elodie and Emily sitting on my bed. How?

"Elodie..........How??" I stuttered with my mouth wide open.

"Xander, I see you've missed me a lot." She said with a broad smile revealing her white sparkling teeth.

"Elodie,.......how, I mean, when, no, umm, what.....?" I splattered not even finding the right words to say.

"Daddy, what are you even saying?." Emily asked with a smirk on her face.

"Emily." I said.

I was too surprised and at the same time confused to say any thing reasonable.

I blinked to be sure I wasn't dreaming, when I opened my eyes they were no longer there.

What in the name of the spirits is happening.

"Xander." Elodie's voice echoed at the back of my head.

"What do you want from me?" I screamed.

"Xander." Emily's voice followed.

Their voices kept echoing to the point that I thought I was going crazy

"Go away." I screamed not knowing what exactly I should say.

A part of me wanted them to be alive again but then I had to face reality. They were dead, this wasn't real.

Just then the door screeched open Daniel entered.

Now let me do a little explanation:

Daniel is my Beta, we've been best friends since our childhood days and that continued till we got mated and even till I lost my mate and family.

"Dude, I heard you screaming, what's going on?." Daniel asked with a furrowed brow and Crossed arms.

"Hey Dan, its.......it's nothing." I said trying my best to hide my anxiety.

"Xander, are you seriously going to stand right there and lie to my face, what do you mean nothing?." Daniel said, he was the only one that could really shout me down.

"Dan, I just saw Elodie and Emily right here, in my room, though I think it's an illusion." I said trying to look undisturbed.

"Wait, what? How is that even possible?." He asked looking more surprised than I was.

"Well, I think it's just a figment of my imaginations." I said

"You think so, don't you? Well I think that there's more to that." He said.

"Daniel, we can talk over this later, right now, I need to go for a run." I said and before he could reply I had exited the room.

I was outside now, and the only way to relax was running in my wolf form.

{Hazel's Pov}

"Get up girl, it's school time." Charlotte barged into my room and spanked my ass. I immediately jolted at her hit.

Remind me to tell y'all that Charlotte and I are best friends and we live together after my father rejected me for not being a wolf. Charlotte is like a sister to me considering the fact that she's a complete Homo sapien.

'oww, my ass, must you always do that Charlotte?." I asked as I buried my face in the pillow. I'm not trying to suffocate myself, I'm trying to hide my face away to get more sleep.

Charlotte reminds me a lot of my mother.

Talking of my mum, well, she left, she left with my little sister. I waited for days for them to return but they never came back.

"Snap out of it, sleepyhead, we are running late." Charlotte said yanking my head.

"Ok, I'm coming." I said as she left the room.

I went into the bathroom and ran myself a bubble bath.

I wanted to look casual today since Charlotte said it was a no uniform day.

I went into my closet and took out a pink short skirt with a black crop top, after putting on that, I went to my shoe rack and took out a pair of white flip flops.

I packed my hair high up in a ponytail, and then grabbed my bag.

"Hey Missy, where do you think you're going looking like that?." Ava asked appearing out of nowhere.

Now that is Ava for you, always appearing suddenly to scare the hell out of me.

"Ava!!! You have to stop this." I said with a huge smile on my face. I had gotten so attached to Ava, she was like a little sister to me or would I say older sister.

"You can't go out like that, go change now." She said looking at me from head to toe.

"But Ava, today is a no uniform day, can't I just wear this." I said pouting.
