C9 The First Tango

She went out of her office and walked in the direction of Sofia's office, she gave a small knock when she was in front and got no response. She reached for the doorknob and turned it but it was locked.

'She might be in class' she thought and turned to her right to get to the main gate of the school, so she can take a taxi.

When she was outside she flagged down a taxi, told him the address, and got in.

When the taxi moved she took out her phone to tell Sofia about her whereabouts so she doesn't start calling.

-A: Hey girly, I am off to Bernard Tech, need to sort out something, will let you know when I am done ;)

She put her phone back in her purse and looked outside the window, she could see people walking on the street some crossing the road, some waiting for the bus, and others watching the street entertainment by a group of two guys and a girl.

The girl who has her hair colored in different colors was singing while the blond guy with a bandana wrapped on his wrist was playing the guitar and the other a flute. She smiled enjoying the view, the taxi passed a coffee shop and she suddenly craved for it, so she told the taxi to stop, she paid him for the fare and got down.

She had to make a turn to get to the coffee shop because the taxi had passed the shop, so while she was walking she felt her phone vibrate in her bag and opened her bag to check who was calling, she didn’t look at where she was going and just as she brought out her phone she bumped into a wall and stumbled a little and was about to fall back when strong arms wrapped themselves around her waist.

‘Did this wall have hands?’ she asked herself and looked up to see she didn’t bump into a wall rather it was a very handsome man she bumped into.

She saw beautiful hazel eyes, pointed nose with well-sculptured jawline, let’s not talk about his perfect pink lips and clear skin, he has dark hair that looks like hands had run through them many times.

He was a definition of gorgeous.

Those hazel eyes watching her for some seconds before lifting her up and releasing her

“The least you could do is watch where you are going,” he said in a deep sexy voice, rolled his eyes, and walked away from her to the other side of the road.

She stood still watching the fine piece of a man walking far away from her, he seems a little rude to have made that statement, he was at fault too. If he watched where he was going they won’t have bumped into each other, come on it takes two to tango.

She just shrugged and continues to where she was going, okay wait! Where is she going to? ‘Seriously Audriana with your twenty-six years of existence a man you barely know destabilized your entire being?’ she asked herself.

She looked around and saw a coffee shop, ‘oh yeah coffee’ she wanted coffee and was going when she remembered her phone, she turned back and picked it up, no crack or anything. Praise JESUS!

She got into the coffee shop and ordered a slice of cake and cappuccino, she looked at her phone to see who was calling earlier and it was Sofia so she called back while she waits for her order.

"Hey baby girl" Sofia chirped.

"Hey, twine, I sent you a message since I didn't see you in your office before leaving, did you see it?" Audriana asked.

"Yeah that's why I am calling, I had an early day also so after I was done with my last class for the day I went to meet up with my very annoying cousin," she said.

"Caleb?" Audriana asked with a laugh.

Soon her cake and coffee came and she thanked the waiter as he put it down and took a sip from the coffee, cappuccino is one of her favorite.

"No, Miguel, I don't understand why Caleb asked me to wait here with this annoying man for him," she said "Stop it" Audriana could hear Sofia say to someone in the background.

"¿A quién llamas molesta?" She heard a deep playful voice say to her friend, which means 'who are you calling annoying?'.

Yes, she did understand Spanish, Sofia is Spanish her name alone spells it out. She taught Audriana how to speak Spanish when their friendship was already a year, she said she had to pass on her knowledge. Weird girl, says something about letting her legacy leave on.

Audriana shakes her head at the memory.

"Miguel? I don't know any cousin you have that is name Miguel" she tells her friend as she was almost done with her deserts.

"Yeah, I never mentioned him to you and don't plan to introduce him to you" she could hear the annoyance in Sofia's voice as she said it.

"¿Con quién estás hablando?" he asked in the background. (Who are you talking to?).

"¿Puedes al menos callarte y dejar de interferir en mi conversación?" she heard Sofia answer Miguel (Can you at least shut the hell up and stop interfering in my conversation?)

Audriana laughed and finished up her desserts and coffee.

"Well whatever I will be leaving now, I got to catch up before the close of the hour," she told her friend.

"Wait, you are not even there?" she asked

“Yes, I dropped off at a coffee shop to get some cake and coffee” she answered and put the bills and tip on the table before getting up and carrying her bag as she walked out of the door.

Sofia sighed.

“Okay, I will see you later for our little date my friend”

“Okay no problem”

“¿fecha? ¿Eres gay?” Miguel asked in the background. (date? You are gay?)

"Sí, ¿puedes dejar de molestarme ahora?" (Yes, now can you stop disturbing me?) Sofia replied making Audriana laugh.

"Your cousin is weird" she commented

"You never imagine, see you later sweetheart"

"See you too" Audriana disconnected the call and stopped a taxi to go to Bernard Tech.
