C14 Chapter 13

Mama was also scarred in the VIP room, so my nurse was checking her condition every hour. They even said that the progress of Mama's recovery is fast. Until lunch time, Mama and Ciffer ate lunch together but we also had to leave after just a few minutes as Mama needed to rest.

"Oh, where are you?" Ciffer asked me when we got inside the hospital. She is about to go to her boutique to sew clothes. I didn't answer him right away because my phone rang, a message from an unknown number.

And I don't need to find out who it is because baby Trigger is obvious! But we just did that this morning! And then it's lunch time and then... I suddenly felt angry when I thought of my Mingming. It hurts so much because it hurts especially when I pee! The agony! But maybe if I complain, he might say that he's just a bedwarmer and that he's paying me. I will only be hurt.

A few minutes later, Mang Jim arrived and we went straight to Steinfield Corporation, Miss Amara picked us up at the parking lot and went straight to a private lift. How do I know it's private? How come there are two elevators next to each other and on my right side, the four men who are also here in the parking lot got on, then Miss Amara and I were on the left and then she pressed the thirtieth floor.

As fast as we traveled to baby Trigger's office, we left his office just as fast. We returned to the parking lot again and went straight to the far end of the basement.

Baby Trigger approached in a matt black sports car. I can't help but be impressed, because the car is beautiful and obviously the most customized. He kept walking until he got into my driver's seat while I was just dumbfounded. I was even surprised when he honked so loudly.

"What are you looking at still?!" He asked me a little annoyed. At first, I didn't even get it until he asked me again, which made my snout longer again.

"What?! Don't tell me you are expecting me to open that d amn door for you?" And then he frowned at me. Huh! Is it bad to dream? This baby Trigger is also weird! One moment he was thrilling me then the next thing I knew he was getting angry with me. Sigh.

My, this man is bipolar!

I just bowed and slowly walked to his car and quietly sat in the shotgun seat. The whole trip with baby Trigger was quiet even though his tongue was biting when we asked him where we were going. It's good that Mama and I ate earlier, so no matter how long the trip may be, I won't be hungry right away. Oh! By the way, it's a good thing I remembered Mama.

"Uhmm..." I whispered to hopefully get baby Trigger's attention since the traffic lights were still green but it seemed that no one heard so I whispered again, this time louder but still nothing. He hasn't even looked at me. That's why I was about to shut up when baby Trigger spoke again but he didn't look at me.

"Will you stop clearing your throat and just tell me what the hell it is." He rudely told me. What's wrong with him today and he's so mean to me? If only I could ask, but of course I'll be upset. I just bowed and then said what was on my mind.

"Uhh. I just wanted to thank you for paying Mom's hospital bill and moving her to the VIP room. N-now my nurse is watching over her nurse twenty-four seven so I'm not too worried about her anymore . Thank you, bab -"

S hit! I immediately covered my mouth with my hands and then I took a deep breath and continued what I was going to say. I just hope he didn't notice that I should have called him baby! Because I'm used to calling him baby. Oh my gosh.

"Uhh. I mean, thank you for paying Mom's bill, T-Trigger." A few minutes passed, the cars moved on and I still didn't get an answer from him, that's why I looked up at him and he just focused on the road while driving.

I didn't get an answer from him until he stopped the car. I kept wondering if he heard what I was saying or not. In the end, I just let out a sigh and unbuckled my seatbelt so I could get out of the car, maybe he'll scold me again later.

I just didn't notice that we were in a hotel. We were about to enter the entrance of my house when we were greeted by the same man, he immediately greeted us and smiled at me, so I smiled back, but I was so surprised that baby Trigger gave his car key to the man, and he didn't even put it in the man's hand, he pushed it. He put it on the man's chest so he pulled back a bit.

And then he continued to enter the hotel, I turned my gaze again to the man asking for a call who looked and nodded at him, I was even surprised by baby Trigger calling me. His voice is perfect because he uses hard English words and has a very authoritative tone.

"What the fvck are you still doing there?! Come fvcking here Nicole!" I think we even stole the attention of a few people here at the entrance of the hotel. I gasped when he suddenly put his hand around my waist and we walked into the hotel together.

We continued walking until we reached the end of the hotel lobby and that's how I was surprised and lost my heart when baby Trigger didn't remove his hand that was hugging my waist.
