C4 Her one night stand

Nina yawned and stretched on a soft bed then she felt an arm around her and she froze. Who the hell was on the bed with her? Had she been kidnapped?

She stifled a groan as her head pounded. She had a lot to drink last night.

Oh my goodness! She whispered as yesterday's events came flooding in. She met a handsome hunk at the bar, they began trading secrets and misfortunes while they drank, she kissed him, he returned the kiss and they got in his car...

What? She couldn't believe she spent the night with a total stranger!

She had to go right now!

For it would be too awkward if he woke up and saw her.

She slowly removed his arm from her and gently got up from the bed. She took out her phone from her bag to check the time. It was six in the morning. Perfect! She'd sneak out before he woke up. She was about to put the phone and continue dressing when an email caught her attention.

She opened it and almost screamed.

She'd gotten a job!

Finally!

Today was her first day at work and they required her to be there by eight in the morning.

She quickly wore her dress and slowly, quietly left the room. Luckily, she didn't wake him up.

The house was so big and beautiful, if not for the circumstances she found herself in, she would have taken a little tour.

But she couldn't afford to get caught now, she had no time to waste. She quietly opened and closed the entrance door.

She breathed out a sigh of relief when she passed through the security without attracting attention to herself.

What kind of person would have this much security in his house? She asked herself. Was he a big shot or a celebrity?

Whoever he was, she'd dodged a bullet.

She quickly got into a cab that drove her home. She vowed never to drink excessively ever again.

"Hey, you're finally back. Was beginning to get worried when I didn't see you home last night" Beth said.

"I'm so sorry for worrying you, I got caught up in something" Nina said

"Caught up in what?"

"I'd rather not revisit it. It's a bad memory" said Nina.

"I got an email yesterday, Nina" said Beth. "My tuition fee hasn't been completed"

"Just give me a little time. I'll complete it"

"Don't you want to train me anymore, Nina?"

"Ofcourse I do" Nina went to join her on the couch. "It's my one desire to see you through college and you're almost done"

"I got a job" said Nina

Beth's eyes lit up. "Really?"

"Yes, my love"

"When?"

"I got the email this morning"

"Where's the place?"

"The job is at Konstantinou Cooperation"

"Really?"

"Yes" Nina grinned and hugged Beth. "Told you everything is going to be fine. Now don't worry about the tuition fee, just study while I go to work,OK?"

"Thank you, Nina. What would I do without you?"

Nina pinched Beth's cheek playfully. "Nothing!"

Then she got up and went to prepare for work. Beth was the only family she had.

Nina and Beth both grew up in the orphanage and Nina took Beth as her younger sister after Beth saved her life when they were kids. They'd been together since then. Nina worked hard to fend for them because Beth was too precious to her.

Now, she was going to do well in this job and take care of Beth.

She quickly dressed up, bid her goodbye, got into a cab that drove her to work.

She met the receptionist in the counter who led her to a tall, middle aged woman.

"I'm Cynthia, and you are?" The woman asked

"Nina Emerson"

"You’re here for the secretary job, right?" Cynthia asked

"Yes I am"

"Okay. Here's what you need to know about the boss. He's very temperamental. He's detailed, doesn't tolerate mistakes. Three strikes and you're out!"

Nina gasped.

"He likes his coffee served immediately he enters his office. The coffee should be black, no sugar and room temperature. He doesn't tolerate lateness. Do you understand?" Asked Cynthia.

"Yes I do"

"You'll get to know the rest as you work for him" said Cynthia. "For now, just wait here. The boss is running a bit late. I'll notify you when he arrives"

"Sure" said Nina as she anxiously began to wait for him.

Approximately an hour later, Cynthia notified her of the boss's arrival.

"He just arrived in his office right now. Go and bring his coffee"

Nina gathered her composure as she went to the coffee stand and made the coffee.

She tried not to be nervous but she couldn't help it. Cynthia directed her to his office and she went there with the coffee on a tray. She knocked once and got into his office.

Her nervousness prevented her from properly acknowledging the beauty and vastness of the office.

She let out a shocked gasp and the coffee fell from her hands when she saw the boss.

She couldn't believe her eyes.

He was the man who she spent the night with!
