Louisa puts her phone down, Fred's words still reverberate in her head, and the subtle scent of coffee wafting through her open window.

“Can you come up, Louisa? It's important.” He had said in a hurried tone.

She is both perplexed and alarmed that he didn't say anything else but simply disconnected the call.

Is Fred all right? Did something happen?
