"Nana, Sofie is here to see you." I announced as I walked into Nana's hospital room with Sofie.

I willed the despondence that threatened to hitch my throat as Nana tried but unfortunately failed to sit up by herself away, and went over to help her up after propping two pillows behind her back, to make her comfortable.
